If you wanna to criticize McNabb, but look at what his teams have accomplished with him. Then look at the players he had around him. Until T.O he had no superstars other than him and his team went to the NFC Championchip 3 years straight. And besides lets keep it real how many terrible white quartebacks have we seen stick around the league for years. With none of the success Mcnabb has had. Mark

"If Rush didn't want the controversy then he shouldn't have included race in it."

The very topic he introduced was racial preferences in the NFL. How could he have NOT brought race into it?

I think his comments were definitely RACIAL. PC is not to blame whats to blame was the attitude that black athletes (especially those in positions of command and authority, e.g. coachs, quarterbacks etc) are inferior to white athletes. This has been a prevailing thought for decades.

Thats why when an athlete of color (particularly black) does well instead of it being looked at as normal it must be analysed from a racial perspective. McNabb isn't a good quarterback, he's a good BLACK quarterback. And any successes he makes must be distinguished as such. There have been many white quarterbacks that were truly overrated yet their race was never a factor in it.

If the NFL and any sport for that matter (all of which are run by white people)has a vested interest in seeing specifically black athletes succeed then who's "fault" is that. Certainly not the athlete who just wants to his job to the best of his ability. And there are no black people in powerful positions in sports to effect such a thing so who REALLY is at work here?

You say "and let's face it, a conservative can't say the word "black" without causing an uproar - even if they are just describing the color of night" but who created that atmosphere to begin with? In America, black people didn't make an issue of color...white people did (and still do) then turn around and ask "why does everything have to be about color?" If Rush didn't want the controversy then he shouldn't have included race in it.
