BTW, Ward Connerly has debated Cornell West. Might I suggest respectfully that Cornell has nothing to offer in this dicussion. His solutions offer more RACISM.

Read Ward Connerly's book "Creating Equal" Steven Matherly. In it you'll find the answer. End all race based preferential treatment and discrimination. If the government wants to give a hand up then it should do so no based on race but to ALL who are economically disadvantaged.

Don't let my answer stop you. Read the book!!!

Dear Sister Toldjah:

I hear a lot of criticism about the above mentioned program but I don't see a whole lot of alternative suggestions. What would the other folks who have emailed suggest as a way to combat racism? One person dismisses a list with Cornell West's name on it ast "silly". Dr. West has a great deal to offer in this discussion and dismissing his input as "silly" suggests to me that the writer may not feel that racism really exists. Is that the case? Am I missing something? My impression was that this website was about finding solutions to the problem of racism.

Perhaps I have strayed into a site that I needn't be in. Forgive me for the intrusion.

The book "White Male Privilege" might help the fight against racism. Amazon.co.uk has a synopsis of the book.

I'm so very sorry that my hometown has foised 'Crossroads' on you.

Why they call themselves a 'ministry' escapes me, for they don't appear to be religious at all. I also looked up their 'Bibliography' page; the likes of Cornel West, Vine Deloria, Saul Alinsky, and Robert Terry all show up. The silly list even has a 'Whiteness Studies' section. Speaking of racism!

Again, my sincere apologies.
