I had hoped Frist might make good presidential timber. No more. His leadership in the Senate was poor during the judicial fight and the Bolton appointment, and his current reversal on stem cells makes me wonder what iother issues he will suddenly reverse himself on.

And why has the entire nation, it seems, bought the lie that no federal funding means research simply won’t happen? I’ll bet Bill Gates’ next billion dollar contribution will go to something like stem cell research.
