Peter Jennings was a major part of an era of TV journalism which is now gone. In the 1980s and even going into the 1990s the mainstream media reached its plateau–there were basically three major news channels.
Then came other TV stations on cable like CNN and FOX; the rise of talk radio shows like Rush Limbaugh; and finally the rise of the Internet and blogs like this one.
All these later developments are to the good–it weakens the liberal influence of the mainstream media. Peter Jennings RIP.

His blatant bias infuriated me, and I think he did a tremendous amount of damage from his position of authority within the MSM. But I would not wish cancer on anybody. R.I.P., Mr. Jennings. My prayers will be with his family.
