Really? I’ve been following this story pretty closely and consider myself a discerning reader and I’ve not picked up on it. If you want to leave it hanging out there as a ‘teaser’, that’s fine but it’s not really helping to back up your point and from what little you’ve revealed, it still doesn’t make sense why there’s been no more outcry about this verdict than what we’ve seen. Assuming Berger had damaging info on the W admin, he also had it on the Clinton admin which is probably why he destroyed some of the documents. He wasn’t out to protect the W admin, by any stretch.

Read the links I gave. Did the Bush Sr. White House vandalize the White House when they left and taunt Clinton? Did the Reagan ites vandalize the White House when Bush took office?

ST: Rob, that’s not accurate, and the link you provided later from the Washington Post proves it (emphasis added):

The Washington Post found that the damage was typical of White House transitions, citing the Bush to Clinton transition and The Reagan to Bush transition.

However, I agree that letting Bergler off easy is at least some responsibility of the Bush administration.

The papers Sandy took involved something no one wants out. I probably should just shut up. It’s made the news, but…ah never mind.

I’ve seen far worse done to people who mishandled far less sensitive data. The ability of Clinton era officials to get away with the most incredibly serious acts still baffles me. The teflon coated administration would be a good description.
