When it was first announced this past summer that Karl Rove told a reporter Joe Wilson’s wife worked for the CIA, most conservatives were defending what Karl Rove did and instead attacked Joe Wilson. Here’s what Ann Coulter had to say on the subject:

Joe Scarborough was about the only conservative that said Karl Rove should be fired for telling the press Joe Wilson’s wife worked for the CIA. Most other conservative commentators attacked Joe Wilson when it became known that Karl Rove was the one who outed his wife.

Care to comment on Wilson’s lies while you are pontificating? Or is it just the administrations actions you find troubling?

Rove and Libby both did deliberately out a CIA agent. They both told reporters that Joe Wilson’s wife worked for the CIA. The only question is whether or not they broke the law. It’s possible that they didn’t know she was an undercover agent or it’s possible the prosecutor couldn’t prove they knew she was, but I don’t think anyone is disputing that they told reporters that Joe Wilson’s wife was working for the CIA.

It’s not just the left who is condemning Libby and Rove. Joe Scarborough, who is a conservative Republican, said if anyone in his administration did that, he would have fired them right away.

Are you capable of coming up with a single thought of your own? This is exactly the same thing Rush Limbaugh was saying on the radio a day or two ago. This has nothing to do with the topic. The case is about whether or not any laws were broken when Valerie Plame’s identity as a CIA agent was revealed to reporters. It has nothing to do with whether or not President Bush was lying about Iraq’s nuclear weapons program. The CIA does think laws were broken, otherwise they would not have requested a prosecutor to investigate this.

You’re the one who is lying. The Republicans wanted to cut 270 billion dollars from what was allocated to Medicare under what was then current law. At least the Democrats were honest about what they were doing. The Clinton Administration openly stated that they were proposing to cut 124 billion dollars from Medicare.

If 2,000 liberals say that 2,000 times does it make that true? No.

Again, Bush was saying the same thing as Albright, Gore, Kerry, Clinton and the French Intelligence, German Intelligence, Russian Intelligence and Ny Times. Most people believed that Iraq had WMD’s… even before Bush was president.

The bald face lying of the left acting like it was a lie by Bush to get us to war WILL NOT get them elected. This is just one more example out of 100 that conservatives can cite the left for lying.

I remember a Republican on Dan Rather’s show once in 1995 questioning Dan Rather very WELL. He asked Dan Rather if the Medicare Budget is actually increasing 7% per year for 7 years and has reforms and just isn’t going to increase 10% like the previous year… Why wouldn’t Dan Rather call it a reduction in the amount of increase to be an accurate reporter. Dan Rather evaded the question and turned it back to what Democrats are saying about the Budget.

The left will have to learn that the English language means something. You can’t simply say whatever you want.

As a centrist/conservative who sees both parties are to the left, I hope to see no indictments because Plame wasn’t even a covert agent for the last 5 years and that’s what the law says. This is not because I have any affection for Scooter or Rove, it’s simply because the English language should mean something.
