Gee, a whole blot on his record! Wowee! Perhaps Elliot Spitzer/Spritzer/whatever has a perfect prosecutorial record, but I doubt many competent prosecutors do. How many times did The Teflon Don go to trial before finally being convicted? Does that mean all previous attempts were blots? Hardly.

Whats the smear? One can’t discuss his competence as a prosecutor? I would think that would be highly relevant. I suppose to a partisan, anything negative is a smear. And this failure is a blot on his record.
