[...] Others: Matt was in New Hampshire knocking on doors all morning and afternoon, and at an election party in the evening. Nicole was an RNC 72 Hour LTF volunteer who was “freezing in Michigan”. But she puts her sacrifice in context, “One cold day was better than a four-year winter with Kerry in the White House!” - Amen. LaShawn notes the beginning of liberal mourning and despite not gloating about the victory doubts she would’ve been extended the same courtesy. - I’d bet money on that one. Sister Toldjah was sitting at her desk listening to the radio - and breathed a sigh of relief when Kerry made his gracious concession. Says she smiled, thinking, he did it! - Indeed, WE did it. I remember feeling more relief than joy in the first moments too! Don is celebrating.
Brian,

Boy, do you not get it. Bush won, period. You can kvetch all you want, but it isn't going to change things. Kerry is a loser, period. Get used to it. Democrats, like yourself, are obstructionists to being anti-Americans.

The main reason Bush was re-elected had a lot more to with what Osama Bin Ladin did rather than anything President Bush did. The main reason so many people supported him is because we were attacked and the country rallied behind the president. By the end of 2001 his approval rating was close to 90 percent. By 2004 he was barely able to keep it above 50 percent. Now he's having trouble staying above 40 percent. The only issues where President Bush was way ahead in the polls over his opponent was in fighting terrorism and keeping our country safe. If we weren't attacked in 2001, these would have been non-issues. By most other measurements, his first term was unsuccessful.

Winning or loosing an election says nothing about the quality of the candidates. It only means one candidate got more votes than the other. In 1945 the British voted Winston Churchill out of office.

Last November 2nd

What a roller coaster ride it was. Kitty, Aaron and I had built the Kerry Haters blog into a major force in the blogosphere. We were nearly a top 100 blog in the TTLB traffic ratings (without a single Instalanche, I might add).

LOL I was sitting at my desk in my pjs waiting to hear the final word. It was so late when it finally did, I ended up sleeping in the next day. I was soooo Happy I couldn't believe it. I knew there was going to be 1 fight after another over the thing, but that night I did sleep well.

I knew Ohio would be the Florida of the 04 election. The Guarian in Britain tried to influence the election by having its subscribers write voters in swing counties in Ohio to throw out Bush.

I also knew George Soros funded groups to go door to door to get votes for Kerry any way they could, which usually was lying to the person and fraudulently registering people, then going back to fill out absentee ballots for them.
