Joan Swirsky, guest columnist at the Canada Free Press, has a spot on piece regarding Sen. Jay Rockefeller’s recent comments that he visited three Middle Eastern countries in January of 2002 to let them know that he thought the President had ‘made up his mind’ to invade Iraq – one of those countries was an Iraq ally: Syria.
Swirsky rips Rockefeller up one side and down the other, and wonders why the usual suspects aren’t calling for an investigation into Rockefeller’s activities around that time.

Jay Rockefeller gets a pass because he’s a rich leftie. Anyone remember when Dianne Feinstein’s Assault Weapon ban went into effect. Rockefeller was shocked that one of his little rifles was banned, but refused to answer if he turned it in. The press refused to ask Jay what he did with the gun, just like they refused to ask Saddam what he did with the WMD before the war.
I did confront Mort Kondracke on this on C-Span, but he acted like an *** and didn’t answer the question no matter how many callers put it to him.
Do you know what would happen if there was a treason trial? I shudder to think of it.
