I’ll say there is an amount of lack of personal responsibility fueled by the inability for self-critique. That lack of personal responsibility is responsible for not matching up facts, policies, solutions with the results as in cause and effect type scenarios.

With a lack of personal responsibility it “feels” good to liberals to “feel” that tax rates shouldn’t have been reduced for the top 1% of income earners (the tax rate reduction was given to all income tax payers but liberal “feelings” can’t take that information in.) What is important to them with this lack of responsibility is their “feelings”. They will not step up to the plate and be responsible to see if policies/solutions will result in their stated desires.

Steve is a prime example of this. He will not engage on the substance of our ideas. He will only “feel” and his lack of responsibility will only feed his problem until he grows some sense of responsibility.

Me, I think it’s lack of honesty based on the realization that everything, or possibly everything, that are core foundations of their beliefs are fraudulent

1) Won’t do the research to see if their leveled accusations have merit

Again, a lack of honesty.

2) Won’t do the research to see if their solutions/policies would have the results (that everyone wants – no racism, no deficits, good education, good environment, good economy)

3) Will actually believe that the 50% of the country who is conservative (instead of being responsible and listening to a conservative’s dream) do not want an a) a good environment, good education, no defecit, good economy, etc.)
4) Lack of personal responsibility in realizing that utopia CAN NOT exist. Life is as it is and we can only try to improve the circumstances for everyone. We can teach people how to fish or give them fish but is giving it to them really the solution? No.

The main problem with Liberalism is their inability to objectively look at themselves, their policies, and the outcomes of their policies and realize where they are wrong.
You have to go no further than public education. Public education has been, and continues to be, a Liberal petridish. Every possible Liberal experiment has been tried, and where is public education today? I’ve asked Liberals to address the problems with public education and the problems that first comes to their minds are:
1. Higher wages for teachers.
2. Smaller classrooms.
3. More schools.
Can a person with an ounce of honesty say that THOSE ARE THE MAIN PROBLEMS WITH PUBLIC EDUCATION???
Again, the problem with Liberalism is the lack of honesty, and without honesty, you have………………………………………nothing

Specifically to your points on social security: I suspect that if FDR were around today, he would be open to new ideas about how to handle SS, including private accounts and investment of part of the money in equities. The present configuration of SS is only one of many ways to run a national pension system..it seems that many Democrats treat it as graven on stone because ‘that’s the way we’ve always done things around here.’

It was a tax cut for all income tax payers and guess what… the government revenues are increasing by the double-digits. We could’ve raised tax rates and the revenues into the government be less because the recession was extended. WHich would you have wanted Tommy? On Social Security… allowing people to manage 6% of their contributions in mutual funds gives them a nest egg they can pass down to their children (something that currently african american/black men can’t do and they die sooner). THe government would honor ALL of what seniors are owed and your accusation that the government wouldn’t is NOT what Bush’s plan posted on the whitehouse’s website says. All you have is accusations and no debate of ideas.

Nobody wants the elderly to “fend” for themselves as you seem to “think” conservatives want. Isn’t it interesting how you believe such poor thoughts about the wants of 50% of americans. Grow up. Tommy, I asked you on some other thread and you ignored the question. Name three things that the Republicans in Congress have done since gaining power in 1994 to restrict a woman’s right to choose and why that action was bad in your view. Remember, we are here to correct your incorrect assertions.

When you throw out laundry lists Tommy. We can’t adequately deal with the rest of your list without having a book written. Here’s one to start with. Other than Defense, name a federal program the Democrats have said that Bush is not running right and what is the solution. Bonus points for telling us how spending more in the budget than is beins spent now will not balloon the deficit further.

Just a preemptive strike on you, tommy. There isn’t one program, other than Defense, where the Democrats would not hike spending far more than the GOP is spending now.

Over at the Right Politics blog, there is a citation of an excellent article concerning the myth of separation of church and state. Except for Congress being barred from establishing a state religion, the Constitution is silent except for the Bill of Rights which allows freedom or religious expression. Show us your thoughts on this tommy, and don’t think you can pass off canned talking points as your thoughts because we’ve seen them thousands of times before posted by wandering liberal trolls.
