Great suggestion for a new Ben and Jerry’s flavor
My friend Donna came up with a great idea for a new Ben and Jerry’s ice cream flavor – she was inspired by New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin, who recently called for a “chocolate” New Orleans. Her suggestion:
Idea Type: Flavor
Idea Name: New Orlean’s Chocolate Chip Mardi Gras
Description: Dedicated to chocolate lover Mayor Ray Nagin. Sprinkled with nuts and chunks of fruitcake.

Temperature killing people
Temperatures hit record lows in some parts of the Czech Republic on Sunday night, with minus 30 Celsius registered in the north of the country. The cold snap killed at least two homeless people in the capital at the weekend, pushing the winter death toll to at least 12, according to local press reports.
For this post I’m a liberal. So I’m going to accuse those in charge of the Czech Republic of not caring about the victims. And Bush doesn’t care enough because the victims are white …. er not American. Yeah. That’s my accusation today.

- While we’re on the subject how about a new Baskin Robbins treat – a “Kerry Flip-Flop fizz”…. Its always a surprise because you never no which flavor of ice cream you’ll start with, but they take it back and change it as often as you like until they find one you really want.

Ya’ll are crackin’ me up this evening
I’m one of, probably, ten people in the USA who likes fruitcake, but would never buy that flavor, or any other, from lefties Ben & Jerry. (Incidentally, I can dispel that nasty rumor about there being just one fruitcake that gets passed from recipient to recipient. I eat one every Christmas season, so there has to be more than just one.)
- Bach – Thats not just a nasty rumor or urban legend. As a running gag, my sisters and I sent and re-sent the same fruitcake to each other every Christmas for 33 years, still in the original tin and wrapping. After that much time none of us were brave enough to remove the lid, thinking it might explode. Finally a few years ago the Post Office managed to lose it. If this sort of thing happens with regularity, it could be the source of the affliction of “going postal”…..
