Its already gained them, in addition to the cut and run rep, the mantle of being Jihadist supporters. - Funny thing is their own truculent leaders like Pelosi, Kennedy, and Schumer are suddenly softening their position, probably owing to the backlash of public opinion this latest "get Bush" phoney "protecting innocent Americans" campaign is garnering them. - Now the left (I know longer refer to them as Democrats) are saying "Well if we don't have a law to cover it we should". The Pres. is responding with "Why?. If any law you pass would end up trying to prevent me from doing my constitutional duties in protecting the American people it would be unconstitutional anyway." In other words, if it ain't broke don't try to fix it. - I'd say the al Qaeda-bats are now 0 and 16 against Rove/Bush, with congressional elections looming on the horizon.
