Nothing easier than to pull a woman into a van while she is trying to unlock her vehicle. She is in a vunerable position, and more concerned about getting home or whatever. That's why I love remote unlock. It usually has a panic button. If you have to use that panic button throw the keys away from you too, so it cannot be turned off easily. Your keys can be a weapon the keyed side can cut and tear skin. A pen or a pencil can be a good weapon leave about 2 to 3 inches extending from a closed fist and jab it into the neck on either side of the adams apple. If someone grabs you from behind use the heel of your shoe and run it down the attackers shin. If someone grabs your wrist or arm always pull away against that persons thumb with a quick jerk the thumb is the weakest part of the hand. Always remember if you are attacked the person attacking means to do you harm do not be afraid to seriously hurt or kill them. The best way is to arm yourself your local shooting range offers courses on handling firearms and most states you can get a conceal carry permit. Some of the courses are taught by off duty policeman some are offered by the NRA, knowledge of how to use a weapon can takeaway the fear of owning one. Criminals will avoid a person that can defend them selves they want an easy target. If a weapon is out of the question think about a course in martial arts a couple hours a week might save you from being a victim. Just remember even if you can call 911 it may take the police from a few minutes to several minutes to reach you and criminals know that.
