They can’t manage anything either. If you want Jerusalem to be a bomb cratered wasteland similar to Beirut, let the UN handle it. That would result in the city being elminated as anyplace anyone of any faith would like to go to. But it would undoubtedly make it the center of another UN sex scandal…

saus, since the UN voted the mandate to allow the country of Israel to exist, it could reverse the vote and put the situation back to January 1, 1948, right? What should happen is that the world community should control Jerusalem, as an international city. It would be administered by the UN, not the Israelis, the Palestians, the Greeks, the Catholics or anyone else. The capital of Israel is Tel Aviv, or any other Israeli city, not Jerusalem. Peace

Steve, Why don’t you do something constructive with your time like some research about Jerusalem, specifically if when under Arab control, which faiths and peoples were allowed to worship in Jerusalem’s holy sites, and which were NOT? An educated person might find the restrictions on Christians and barring of Jews offensive.

Then compare that new found knowledge with Jerusalem and faiths under Israeli control since 1967, in which NO faith has EVER been banned, or forbidden worship. Quite the contrary..
This is ensconced in Israeli Law:
Whosoever does anything likely to violate the freedom of access of the members of the different religions to the places sacred to them or their feelings with regard to those places shall be liable to imprisonment for a term of five years. ; Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Since the city as the capitol of the Jewish State today is already shared by all faiths, it appears the Temple Mount and Jerusalem’s holy sites will remain under the jurisdiction of us vengeful Zionists. Sorry to disappoint you.

If you’re a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, or an Atheist though Steve, please take solace in the fact that you are today free to walk up to the Western Wall of the great Temple and stick in a hand written note making your appeal directly to Gd in the traditional manner. It seems that CPT backed off a bit and issued a sort-of kind-of thought-about-it-a-bit thanks to the soldiers that rescued the three kidnapped "peace" workers. Then they post this gem on their website: We will continue to advocate for the human rights of Iraqi detainees and assert their right to due process in a just legal system. No word about the tens of thousands that have been slaughtered by Islamofascists in Iraq. CPT must think these dead are "unpersons".

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) – Sexual abuse of girls by U.N. peacekeepers in the Democratic Republic of the Congo was widespread and ongoing despite many revelations and probes.

The peacekeepers over the last year have been accused of gang rapes, sexual harassment and bribing children as young as 12 or 13 with eggs, milk and a few dollars to have sex in bushes, on the bare ground or under mango trees.

…How’s that for “UN Peacekeepers”?
