A statement issued by the sheriff’s office said Doyle contacted a 14-year-old girl whose profile was posted on the Internet and initiated a sexually explicit conversation. The “girl” was actually an undercover Polk County detective.

It said Doyle gave his office phone number and his government-issued cell phone number. He also was accused of using the Internet to send pornographic movie clips and having explicit sexual conversations in online chats with the supposed girl

How about firing the ass****!!! You can’t get even basic government clearance (“Q”) if you have significant debt! (conflict of interest and could be bribed). And yet here is an official in the watchdog dept of our government and he is a pedophile? I thought we republicans were all about family values, and high moral standards? Let me guess — Doyle has done many great things in his career/lifetime for our country and just because he had a moment of weakness we should not “throw out the baby with the bath water”. Incidentally I did a little search on child prostitution/slavery in Atlanta; it is a HUGE problem, to the point that people fly in from other countries to “have” the child they “reserved” on the internet. Its pathetic that no one cares about this huge social issue. 150 some odd years after the civil war we still participate in trading humans as property, just now it is children. Whether it is the poor Russia or Asian women brought in as indentured servants to satisfy our “market” or our own children abandoned to the streets and pimps, or the disenfranchised and brainwashed polygamist/cultist we seem to not care much at all for our children. Talk about piss-poor performance on one of the best measures of the advancement and ethical/moral health of a society….if a society or culture does not value and protect its children then what does it value?

Why does no one stand up and say “Hey, this is BS we do not accept this behavior and will NOT tolerate it; you’re fired and going to jail; anyone supporting or defending you is also an ass*** and we do not want your or them leading, representing, protecting, or speaking for us.”

I guess my real question is where the hell is jerry falwell, pat robertson, jessie jackson, louis farrakan, and all the other zealots who are all over this stuff any other time? Hmmm…they must have went to the same “PYA” seminar the catholic priests did. After all the appearence of “goddliness” is much more important than actually making a stand.

There is no excuse for this man’s behavior and I abhor what he attempted to do, but there are many thousands – maybe tens of thousands – more out there that have the same addiction, and more are being created every day. Like any pandemic, unless we look at the root cause(s) of this affliction, it will continue to infest our culture.
