I’m getting ready to head out to enjoy some of this gorgeous weather we’re having here today – we’ve had rain on and off the whole week and finally on Saturday it’s nice. Thank goodness!
FYI, I’m getting bombarded with spam and as a result I’ve noticed more legit comments are getting stuck in moderation so some of your comments may not be showing up immediately. I’m sorry about that – this weekend I plan on exploring options to cut down on the spam. The spam programs I’ve used in the past weren’t what I was looking for. Hopefully I’ll find something this weekend that will meet the needs I have to control spam and trolls.

- The Democrats should condemn this sort of thing, and completely disassociate the party from people that do these things. But they are silent, which tells you all you’ll ever need to know about whats become of them. I frankly cannot understand why any decent person would want theit name associated with a party that has misfits within its ranks that think this is intelligent, or funny, or politically wise, and condones it. If I were a Democrat, seeing this foul-mouthed insanity go year after year, I would simply walk away.

ST – Wading through the daily mass of spam “attachments” is one of the reasons I’m no longer blogging. Wish there was something your readership could to help, but I know the process is outside that purvue. I had a very good anti-spam system, but eventually when the spamers were able to get through the blog engine and attach to each and every link, including side partition blog/news links and everything else, it just got out of hand. at one point I think I was spending 75% of my time removing spam. So I feel your frustration. I’ve heard that theres a blog Engine that provides a thing called an “text recieved window” that let you see anything sent to the php kernal, but I’ve been away so long from blogging I don’t know the details.

- One question I’d put to the Left, is where they stand on the Iranian Nuclear program issue. Do they support a process that starts with exhausting all possible negotiation approaches, but in the event it should fail, the use of any and all options to preclude Iran having WMD’s?

I would like to turn it on its head though, and re-ask the the msae question…..
If this was President Bush, and the US saying that we were going to wipe off another country from the map, and President Bush says the ‘program’ he is using for nuclear is for electricity only, and yet enriched uranium (15 to 20 times the amount of enrichment needed for regular electricity and is at the scale for nuclear bomb material) is found, the increase wording of the president that is very threatening, to one specific country and to any that would oppose what he is doing….
What then would the UN and everyone be saying then?
Do you think UN would sit idly by (well duh, were talking about the UN here), I would think they would probably be more vocal about the US than they are on Iran.

- I wouldn’t think that would be a comperable scenario sanity….Maybe in the abstract… But as large as America is I doubt anyone would know if we had a program going on…. Iran is small and in a sort of fishbowl….hard to not know when they’re up to something…..even for our Illustrious CIA….

sanity, actually that is part of the arguement that other countries are raising to us. We don’t want other countries to have nukes (for obvious reasons), but we in turn, do have them. To answer your question though..the UN would talk and that is all the UN would do. The UN would find out where our program is because the MSM would let them know!
Actually why would other countries NEED nukes now?
It is when insane countries like Iran try and get nukes and threaten to wipe other countries off the map and if anyone tries to stop them or put sanctions on them or refer them to the useless UN, they will be ‘severely hurt’.
At this point in time, I do not think any other country needs ot have nukes, we have existing nukes from before, but as the world slowly becomes more peaceful I can see those finally going away also – as long as the others do also. Little countries with madmen at the helm need not have nukes.
Sanity- the nuclear programs don’t always need to lead to weapons..some of these tiny little countries could use them for energy usage and not weaponry but in this day and age, you can’t trust anyone with them. I get mad at this countries laxidasical attitude toward protecting our nuclear power plants but that is another story!
Pam I have no problem with a country willing to use it for energy purposes, but wit hthe rhetoric and threats coming out of Iran, plus its ties to terrorim, plus that they have found enriched uranium that far surpasses the needed enrichment for normal energy means and nears or is enriched enough for weapon grade material, plus the fact that Iran has blocked attempts at UN discovery and inspections of the nuclear process and plans they have…It makes for very very very suspicious activity.

I do agree with the Dems asking the POTUS for an NIE on Iran. I only wish the Republicans had thought of it first. I will be more than irked if the Republican leadership doesn’t follow through on this.

It is amazing that Mexico has the cajones to criticize America for wanting to enforce our border security, to curb the illegal aliens flowing across our borders. When compared to Mexican Constitution on how they are handling their own immigration, how they handle illegal aliens entering their country and now how they want jobs to be for Mexican Citizens only.
But America is always blamed for being to hard on immigrants, especially illegal ones….
Sorry, it really cheeses me off with the do as I say and not as I do mentality of other countries and even our own damn government.
