pLamegate, part 2
WASHINGTON – The CIA officer whose identity was leaked to reporters sued Vice President Dick Cheney, his former top aide and presidential adviser Karl Rove on Thursday, accusing them and other White House officials of conspiring to destroy her career.
In a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court, Valerie Plame and her husband, Joseph Wilson, a former U.S. ambassador, accused Cheney, Rove and I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby of revealing Plame’s CIA identity in seeking revenge against Wilson for criticizing the Bush administration’s motives in Iraq.
I guess this story had about run its course in the DC cocktail party circuit? As they say, it ain’t over til it’s over, and Joe ‘restoring honesty’ Wilson doesn’t want it to be over. It’s all about "getting Rove" even though a special prosecutor found no evidence he was involved in any alleged wrongdoing regarding trying to discredit the liar.

Wilson’s massive ego won’t let him tolerate not being the center of attention. When you couple his ego and his BDS inspired, virulent hatred of Bush, this is what you get. He’s still humping this, desperate to make Fitzmas a reality. Wilson should be charged with libel and slander for his serial lies, I don’t think he has an honest bone in his entire body.

I believe Wilson has just shot himself in the foot. There is a significant chance the Judge will just dismiss the lawsuit outright, which would be embarassing. However, if the case goes on, Rove et al will be entitled to discovery and rebuttal witnesses, which could get downright humiliating for Wilson.
Like Wilson has made enough money from his b.s. He got a book deal and the cover of Vanity Fair. This non-story is the best thing that ever happened to Joe Wilson.

- Short version – Since it turns out Wilson himself was the one who listed his wifes name in several national registries, which Novak states is where he actually got her name from, then Wilson should be listed as both a plaintiff, and a defendent. That about it? Personally I’d pay good money to see that lying sack of (expletive deleted) on the witness stand under cross.
- BTW. Novak has a history of tweeking the Dems/Liberals. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he’s intentionally leaving off the modofuer “ex” when he says his other source is a high ranking official. I’d laugh myself sick if it turns out its a former Clinton guy.

In a criminal case, you can be found guilty but still sued as a civil case. I think that is how it happens.
Look at the OJ trial, he was found not guilty in a criminal case, but still sued and they won a judgement against him.
And I think, not sure, but think that a civil case is with a ury, so you have 12 jurists that have been polutted by the MSM hatred of Cheney and the administration all along. So they will probably think Cheney has something to do with it, even though there doesn’t seem to be evidence pointing to it, in their minds they will think he still had something to do with it…
As much as I think this case is without merit and should be bounced out on its ear, they could very well have a chance in winning if they think Cheney or the administration had anything to do with it.
Sanity, that is only if the JUDGE allows the case to proceed. Defense lawyers will be presention motions to dismiss the first second they are allowed to. If the judge follows the law, the case will be tossed with a possible tongue lashing of Wilson’s attorneys by the judge for wasting the Court’s time.
That’s a big IF though.
I have been losing faith in the Judicial system for some time now, since I have seen some glaringly obvious bad decisions coming from some of these activist judges.
All it takes is for the case to go before the right activist judge and the circus will continue…
Just heard a clip on the radio of Valerie Plame explaining why the lawsuit and asking for donations to help pay for legal costs. Taking lessons from the Clintons?
and if this gets thrown out of court, what happens with the “donations” that are for the legal fees fund?
And if this is their fight, why are they asking for everyone to donate? Are they too good to pay for it themselves?
I am in agreement, I think a list of Who’s Who should be posted for all to see that have donated to this 1 ring circus.
I’d like to sue the Wilson’s, for taking up airtime on my t.v. These 2 phony’s have really caused me emotional distress. Anyone want to know where to send your donations?
