Yes. It's good to feel good about being judgmental. OK. That was uncalled for.

Yes. I do NOT judge Hastert harshly for not disposing of or creating an investigation concerning Foley when he saw the fairly innocent email that wasn't salacious.

While the media has worked to confuse people about the salacious IM's and the non-alarming (except to Monday Morning quarterbacks) emails, I remain level headed and non judgmental for a reason. I would not want people judging me this way. I would not want people judging my friends this way. I would not want people judging anyone including Democrats this way. TO me (just being honest) it isn't attractive and doesn't make for clarity. It's misdirecting. I love Dennis Prager for this reason. He strives for clarity.

Just to extend my thoughts a little more. We elect Republicans to be our leaders and yet they aren't getting Social Security reformed. Let's make them step down? See... not very productive. We elect Republicans to be our leaders and keep us safe and yet 9/11 happened on their watch. Let's make them step down? Nah. Not very productive. What are they doing going forward with the information we've all learned? That's the question for me. If they did like they did with Stubbs. THEN we would be on the same page. But as soon as the salacious IM's came out - Foley had to be removed. Going forward Hastert did the right thing.

Going forward the lying drive by legacy media and Democrats tried using the issue as mud for their mudslinging. They did NOT do the right thing. They should step down. :-"

Ony because hindsight (Monday Morning quarterbacking) isn't a good way to call someone a failure. You fail to mention that your judgmentalism should've applied to 2 newspapers and the FBI also. They are all failures. And do you know why? Because the emails that were available (at the time) were not salacious or warranting of action (even investigation). Continuing to promote harsh judgements is what is killing conservatives in this election.

That a couple of newspapers didn't do the right thing might be true, but we never elected the newspapers to be our leaders; we elected Republicans to be our leaders.

Former Clerk of the House Jeff Trandahl is testifying today; I'm prepared for more bad news there.

We can all act smart and say things like:
1) I would not have conducted the war that way (with the troop levels that the generals on the ground were asking for)
2) I would not have let Foley continue preying on children
3) I would not have let Abramoff in the same room with me

Etc. ETc.

But realization of chronology is key to logic. You learn as you go and make new decisions. Foley is GONE. The people who need to learn is the Democrats who never take actions against people who actually did have sex with minors (Stubbs).

-------NEW TOPIC-------
If more Democrats are elected it teaches Republican leaders that they need to appeal to the electorate by becoming more appealing to them by becoming more liberal.

Like what happened to Arnold. He told everyone. I LEARNED MY LESSON. We get the government we deserve people... ALL Conservatives need to vote and all libertarians need to vote for the candidate (of the two most likely to win in the district) that is to the right. That candidate MAY be to the left of center (like Joe Lieberman) but he is the one of the two most likely to win that is to the right.

It is so simple that it hurts to hear conservatives twist theirselves into such illogical conclusions about how they will teach anyone anything..

On the same topic, if you need some good reasons for showing up and voting Republican, take a look at this video (before YouTube decides it's offensive or something...).
Teaching them a lesson means hurting myself and my fellow Americans. Yeah, that's something I ought to do!

Idiots! It won't work! The Dems would love to have Conservatives stay home. They will gain power and accelerate our slide into the tyranny of Socialism. Won't that teach the Conservatives, eh?

Well, of course Rush should be reading you daily!

I understand the feeling of a lot of conservatives about sitting this one out, but it's a feeling which does not translate to logic: sitting this one out means that the Democrats win, and, as difficult as incumbents are to unseat, making the GOP more conservative does not mean we would regain power in the 2008 elections; 2018 would be more realistic!

You and I disagree on how badly Speaker Hastert has failed in the Foley affair, but that doesn't mean I'd want to see Nancy Pelosi as Speaker.

(Be right back -- I have to go hurl for a minute.)

Back now. That the GOP isn't doing quite the job I'd like to see, the Democrats would be far worse: tax increases, more spending on ridiculous social programs, more federal intrusion where it doesn't belong.

So, I'll be voting Republican -- again -- not that the Democrat who represents my district is in any danger.

I agree, you want to teach the Republican party a lesson they will never forget. Vote for them. Recently I have been feeling in my spirit that we Christian Conservatives need to be voting for the party that is giving us refuge. We need to get involved, we need to get active. We need to let the Conservatives know that we as a voting block can be trusted, even when we don't see our issues being addressed like we would want. The reason why we don't see our issues being addressed..... is we cannot be trusted. Want to see things change, Christian, get off your lazy duff and do something besides whine and complain. The idea of staying home to teach someone a lesson is so childish, and irresponsible it falls right into the trap of the evil one.

If Christians want to be noticed, by either party then they need to be out in mass voting. If we want change, then we need to be involved. If we want someone to care about our issues, we need to let them know that WE care about our issues, by voting. This is the only thing that matters. How many of us have written Denny Hastert and let him know we are praying for him??? How about the President??? If you are reading my words, it would only take you 10 mins to send an email to both of these men, who need to know we care.

It is time Christian, to do the right thing. - Lorica

P.S. On a less serious note, I cannot believe that Rush does not make this a daily stop in the blog world. I was floored when he did not say yesterday, "and my last and most informative stop is Sistertoldjah.com".
