But I freaking LOVE IT. And you will, too. The singer is Aussie star Beccy Cole and the song is in response to some of her (former) fans who have, as moonbats often do, taken extreme exception to her support of the Australian troops who are fighting in the Iraq war. Thanks to the readers who sent along the link, which was first posted at Blackfive.

Devastating and poignant. Almost brought me to tears.
Harumphh! Of course as a guy, I don’t cry
Actually, I am sad to say that this is my first visit to your website. It certainly won’t be my last. You have a great website, and a lot of good things to say.
I got here from Michelle Malkin’s sight and the Reagan clip. God knows, we could use another Ronald Wilson Reagan now! Maybe one will show up.
Anyway, keep up the very good work.
Your doing a great thing here, and we love you for it.
Cheers
Will
What a wondeful song, and how come I’ve never heard of Beccy Cole before? Not only is that a beautiful song, but she has an amazing voice, one of the best female vocalists I’ve heard in ages. Wonderfully liquid and full. I also notice she doesn’t seem to be whining that people ripping up her posters and not buying her albums is infringing on her freedom of speech, I think she understands the difference. You can feel free to tear up my posters but I don’t care, I’m proud of what I did kind of attitude. Very refreshing.
Wow. Just WOW.
This is a lady who GETS it. I’ve never heard of her before, but better believe I’ll be looking around for more of her work now.
This ought to be distributed to the allied troops in the front. They deserve to know they’re appreciated.
what a great song. this is why the aussies are such great allies. very much outstanding.
This was a wonderful song. It is interesting how Conservatives are not all that concerned when Libs go crazy. But Libs just blah blah blah for years about how their rights are being stepped on when Conservatives turn off the radio. I do hope some of our troops get this into their hands. It would do them good. – Lorica
Chills up my spine…. Thanks ST.
The chix tried something like this song not long ago, titled, “Not Ready to make Nice.” It got played exactly twice in southern California.
Ms. Cole’s song, OTOH, hit number 1 in Australia.
Ms. Cole’s song, OTOH, hit number 1 in Australia.
Just one more reason to love those Aussies. There are no better allies and lovers of freedom in the world.
AWESOME
Wish more songs supporting our troops were on the air waves. OUR troops need the support and they are doing a job that our forefathers did to give us the freedoms we now all enjoy. If we had a concerted effort to rally behind our men 100 % this war would be a cake walk.(no war is a cake walk) Just knowing we support them and mean it means so much to the troops
Absolutely inspiring!! Perhaps more of our singers and entertainers could take a lesson from this young lady.
OOOOOOORAA! Chills and even as I recall while typing, chills! Outstanding!
Welcome to the Chapel of Sister T, Will! Where everyday truth is celebrated and lived.
Thanks for Beccy and the lads and lasses like her throughout the world, yet unknown to us.
Off to work!
I heard this song on hotair.com last evening when I linked over to Blackfive …. I love it … I am gonna send a copy to friends I have in Iraq and it will get passed around …. also sent info to Hannity, he’ll play it to piss colmes off and I’m sharing it with all my friends.

Saw the dixie, smearing my heritage, chicks on okra winfry yesterday and again, natalie maines made a utter ass of herself, along with her dumb ass co-members. okra did ask an interesting quesion, she asked if they were upset when nat did what she did, even in a little way as it effected their concerts, ect. They LIED and said NO, but hell she cost them mega cancelled concerts and fans and I am sure they were pissed under the radar.
Beccy Cole is UNAFRAID to acutually support her troops and sing their praises … how utterly refreshing … maybe I will pull an alex baldwin and move to the land down under if the dems take over, I would really like to go on vacation there.
The song was beautiful and Ms. Cole is A PATRIOT.
I’m at work and thus can’t listen to the song, but I will be sure to check it out when I get home. Isn’t it amazing though that when the Dixie Chicks speak out against the war and the president and such, they are considered patriotic by most. But when Beccy Cole or Toby Keith does a song supporting the war and/or troops they are seen as apologists or blindy supportive of the government. Artists will write and play what they want – leave it to the free market to decide who we will listen to.
Thanks for the video – can’t wait to check it out.
What a great voice she has. I never watch the 6
M news anymore, and thanks to the bloggers like you. Keep up the good work.
Beautiful song from the beautiful voice of a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart. Gotta like them Aussies, though Russell Crowe could use some adjustments.
Russel Crowe, Mel Gibson, they both let the stardon and money go to thier heads. This woman is awesome. Maybe they could clone her and let us have the clone. I’m sure her song makes all Australians proud to be Australian. Had the Dixie Chics followed her lead, and done something good for thier country instead of bash their president, maybe they could have made something special like this song. This is a great gift she gave to her country.
I’ve just discovered your website too (LOVE the Sowell quote!). Great post/great song/great video.
Look out Borders, here I come . . . on a mission to find Becky Cole CD’s.
I’m another new fan. She brought tears to my eyes. I’m going for my CD. Amy
Bec’s a nice Aussie girl, so more power to her. But she doesn’t know the politics. I am an Aussie and I do know the politics. George Bush is a war criminal and my PM John Howard is a gutless synchopant prepared to use our brave troops as modern day sepoys.
Oh, btw, there are some major Left wing bloggers operating out of Australia.
Check out LINK
The Dixie Chicks are a class act standing up for themselves politically. I’d be very proud to introduce to my friends any time.
I can’t sit with that last comment being the last one in this thread.
George Bush is not a war criminal no matter how many times leftist claim it. Having a disagreement doesn’t make your opponent a criminal. There are some who “feel” that Bush acted illegally but there is not even 10% of law experts either constitutional or international who thinks Bush is a war criminal. Not even 5%. It’s a silly silly accusation. While I disagree with Bush because he’s a little left of center (grows government) and I would love to see this country’s government stop growing as it has every year for 6 decades the disagreement of some of Bush’s views does not bring me to conclude that Bush is a war criminal. Neither did I think Clinton was a war criminal for his actions in a few countries.

Nice name calling. You almost had me convinced (not really) until this sentence.
The Dixie Chicks are fine. They are exercising their right of free speech but what they say include factually false statements (just like you) and you are allowed to do that in this country. ADDITIONALLY, we are allowed to speak and point out the factually false statements say, “Shut up and Sing” as Laura Ingraham said in her book!
LOL Here we go again. Straight out of the horses mouth. “There is no one right, not even one, except the leftie sitting in the room”. What kind of low life would tell someone else they don’t know something when that person has never met the other, has never talked them, has NO CLUE, what that person has read or does actually know. Sounds abit elitist to me, well unless Ken here is actually the risen Christ, then he might have a clue, but of that I am highly doubtful. Ken do us all a favor, stop trying to tell someone else what they know. A good rule of thumb is to only tell them things that YOU know, which I know is hard for you lefties, but you can do it, maybe with medical help. – Lorica
Never heard of this gal, but she is awesome!!!
I’m a 70 yr old that still gets teary-eyed when the nat. anthem is sung, or some patriotic message (like Beccy’s) appears. Yeah, I know, she’s singing about the Aussie troops, but hey; she’s also singing the truth TO the US troops, the British troops etc, etc.
Re: Ken’s comments above: it’s only because of the bravery, gallentry, and willingness of the people he seems to despise that he can make such assinine comments. Absent the sacrifice of thousands in the last century, he would probably be speaking Japanese today.
LIBERALISM IS A FATAL DISEASE!!!
Great video, but I don’t understand the title. Why would the Dixie Chicks hate this song???
There is nothing in the lyrics that suggests an ideology opposite of that of the Dixie Chicks. The Chicks fully supported the troops from the very first day of the conflict, yet they had the good sense to examine the true motives behind its instigation. That was simply using their American right to question the government’s actions, which has been documented in our Constitutional Bill of Rights. If anything they would probably love this song. They certainly have a lot in common with Beccy Cole in so much as many of their posters have been ripped down under unpatriotic circumstances.
