Fox News Corp. cancels OJ book, and “special” that was to have aired later this week

Bravo. Sanity and common sense prevails.

For once.

Incidentally, did anyone happen to catch Geraldo’s show last night where he had an hour long interview with Detective Mark Fuhrman? It used to be I thought that the prosecution didn’t do a good enough job with their presentation, but after watching Fuhrman’s interview last night – where he, as always, sounded very believable and credible – I’m convinced that the bungling on that case didn’t rest so much with the prosecution as it did the LAPD.

Vincent Bugliosi’s book Outrage dissects the whole debacle, and he ends up laying most of the blame at the prosecutor’s door. He also attacks the “racist cop” angle and concludes that there is no evidence that Furman ever in his career let racial animus affect his work. In fact, he brings up several incidents where Furman did extra work to ensure minority suspects were properly investigated and cleared.

For the sake of the victims’ families, for the sake of journalism that matters, hell… for the sake of all our sanities: let this be the end of it. If we can’t put him in jail, and he won’t pay what the civil trial ordered him to, then can’t we all agree to ignore the bugger from now until the day he dies? I mean, what else is there to do?

      Enough is too much, already.

GOOD, BAD TV SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO AIR.
