- "domestic' wiretapping" is one of the most flagrent, and self serving for the MSM. prominent among them, the NYT who, needing to paint the survailence program in the most sinister terms in order to obviate themselves of the law breaking they were clearly engaged in, some even call treason, have used this term over and over ad nasia.

- In point of fact, not only is it not domestic, it isn't even wire tapping. Pretty hard to tap wires on a "Wireless cellphone". Duuuuhhhhhh.

- A few groups like the ACLU were so taken with this perjorative, and deadly innacurate term, they actually geared up to sue the government on behalf of American citizens that had been domestically wiretapped, except they couldn't find any. From time to time the MSM switches to "domestic eavesdropping", trying mightily to maintain the "sinister" sound to the security program. their motives are seriously transparent to those of us that follow such things.

- As the NYT court cases go forward, watch the laim brain media try to control the narrative and labeling. Hopefully as the cases develop they will be thwarted by the disclosures, but you can bet they'll be in all out spin mode, labeling the government as jackboot thugs intent on stomping on their first amendment rights, while the sneeaky rats that did the leaking will be characterized as brave Americans, loyal oppositionists trying bravely to expose government wrong doing against the odds.

- In other words the same old MSM BS we've all grown used too. I keep wondering how much longer some of these partisan rags can stay in business, particularly with all the recent "disinformation", photoshopping, phoney planted sources, and outright lies. Seems now that people have the blogosphere, theres less and less reason to rely on the twisted and slanted press as time goes on.

...panic RINOs into doing something stupid.

I found an error in my earlier post. By definition, RINOs are stupid.

A RINO is a politician who is always hopping in bed with Democrats and the MSM and afterwards timidly asking, "But ... will you still love me tomorrow?"

MD, add "some say" or "many say" to your list. It's a cover for the journalist to inject his own opinions into a news story.

And to your #5, add "wall between church and state" which appears nowhere in the Bill of Rights, not even in a penumbra cast by an emanation. It's an egregious misstatement of the First Amendment, intended to shut out any mention of religion whatsoever.

Here are phrases the MSM should get rid of (if they ever have an attack of honesty and integrity):

1. Growing opposition to .... or Growing chorus against .... or Growing support for .... One of the oldest of the MSM's tricks, it is a clumsy effort to create a bandwagon effect and panic RINOs into doing something stupid.

2. Experts agree that .... Usually anonymous, in MSM-speak an "expert" is anyone who votes the straight Democratic ticket. They do not have to know anything about the subject they are commenting on.

3. Appearance of wrongdoing. Used only in connection with Republicans.

4. Domestic spying program. Not domestic, very effective and perfectly legal. If you are worried about "domestic spying" by a crooked government official, go after the late Bobby Kennedy. Incidentally, is not "investigative reporting" real domestic spying?

5. Separation of church and state. Always a prelude to an attack on the civil liberties of Christians.

Christianist. That has to be the stupidest neologism of the past year, and to my mind betrays anyone using it seriously as... well, as unserious.

Start with the label of "moderate" being applied to even the furthest left-wing politico you can think of. And go from there.

As a retired Bible believing Conservative Fundamental Preacher..

I cringe when the media says:

The "Christians" in Lebanon
The "Christians" in Ireland
The "Christian church" in Rome
The "Christians" in Salt Lake City

Media should realize that a Bible believing Christian is one who trusts Jesus Christ sacrifice on the cross alone (without works) as an all sufficient payment for sin -- a guarantee of eternal life to the one who places their faith in Jesus -- alone..

There are many who calls themselves "Christian" but believe their church or leader is their salvation, or their good works provide them a pass to Heaven.

If a person is a Roman Catholic, say so.
If a person is a Mormon, say so.
If a person is a Pentecostal, say so.
If a person is a Bible Believing fundamental Christian, say so.
If a person is a Seventh Day Adventist, say so.

But Mr. MSM, don't put all folks who call themselves "Christian" into the same theological basket. Just ask!
