Sanity when I was saying 2 months I am talking about Congressional folk only. I think the President Candidates should be able to have maybe a year.

Anyway, to my main point. Look you have Jeb Bush, I think he still has a great opportunity. I don't care what they left of center folk think, if things start to go right in Iraq, which they yet could, GW is going to be a hero, not the anti-christ. Jeb Bush could be your next President. What about Haylee Barbour?? He did an awesome job with Katrina management for Mississippi, unlike his idiot Dem colleague in Louisiana. Had hundreds of miles of destroyed coastline, and almost none of the havoc that was in New Orleans. There is my personal favorite JC Watts, even tho he has said he would not run. Jim Nussle could be another. Look who ever the media is looking at right now, they are trying to get rid of. They know exactly what they are doing. Some of these guys are abit smarter than your average Dem. They too know what the MSM is all about, and they are going to wait abit longer before they make their announcement. We shall see. - Lorica

Hopefully Lorica.

I just haven't noticed any worthwile candidates yet. While some look good, each have their own bagagge they are going to have to deal with.

Alot of people have touted McCain, but he would not be a good choice for me to vote for. Other Guilliani, and I believe he may have had some infedility issues that will be brought up by democrats, Frist - hell no. Gingrich would be an interesting possibility but I don't think he could pull from both sides of hte aisle.

2 months may seem like a good idea, but you have to give these 'candidates' time to get more known to the people.

Meanwhile you have Kerry, Obama and Clinton suddenly getting religon, highering religous advisors, attending churches, inviting church leaders to their houses...ect.

I am suprised they don't burst into flames as soon as they walk into church. [chuckles]

If you remember back when Bill Clinton was having most of his trouble, we suddenly got 'treated' to him and his wife walking out of church with a bible in their hands.

Where are these pictures when they are not trying to deflect from their faults?

They fault religon in everyway, except for when it serves them politically.

1st off Sanity, we do have people who are waiting in the wings, but these guys aren't stupid enough to throw their hat in the ring a month after the mid term election. All that will do is, as I state above, give people the time to be tired and bored with you. I think they need to reform election laws, outside of Presidential candidate, all elections should only be 2 months long. We will see what happens, but someone will come forward. - Lorica

We are goin over hte faults and why the "other side" is not very good, and that is fine, I think we should be able to rip apart what the other side has to offer, disect it, and take an intense look at what is to offer from them.

BUT I also find it a bit disconcerning that in all this, we have nothing to really offer from our own side. We are pouring over the faults or lack of experience of a possible candidate from the other side, but without an opposing person to bring up and compare them too.

I think this is the same thing we went through with the elections just recently, that we didn't have much hope and was like voting for the better of two evils.

What do we have to offer for a candidate that has enough "like-ability" in the media / public, and can pull votes from both sides of the aisle?

Sure we will have a very intereting dustup with Obama, Clinton and Kerry all stumping for a presidential bid, and personally I hope it does get nasty, will be interesting what they throw at each other....BUT again, who do we really have that can go the distance on our side and how will they match up against what Democrats will put out?

I'm waiting for the smoke to die down with this Obama hype. I'm, also, sick of the media prognosticating that most African Americans would vote for Obama who is full of himself. Thanks for mentioning his voting record. Voting with the gang of liberals will not give him my vote. As an African American woman from the State of Illinois, it would be disheartening to see another Illinois senator--both African American-- fall because of extreme ambition. Frankly, I have come to a point of being sick of hearing his name. On the other hand, perhaps the media is setting him up for the big fall.

Osama Obama is an empty suit, this is why so many on the left love him. The only reason that the press is playing him up is so people will be tired of him. He doesn't have the depth of character to last 20 months in the spotlight like this. I myself am already tired of hearing about him. Hell a piece of paper with Lefty talking points would hold my attention longer. At least then there might be a cool water mark or design on the paper, or someone might of doodled something interesting on it. As far as Osama Obama, /yawn, thanks for warming up the media for Hillary fool. - Lorica

Political Dirty Laundry

In preparation for her unchallenged role as America's Scandal Queen, Hillary navigated the shoals of Arkansas politics for 12 years as the then-governor's wife - years that included scandals of her own, among them:

That's strange, Rick, considering what he recently said about a timetable in Iraq. Via Obama's website 11/20/2006 (emphasis added):

The first part of this strategy begins by exerting the greatest leverage we have on the Iraqi government – a phased redeployment of U.S. troops from Iraq on a timetable that would begin in four to six months.

When I first advocated steps along these lines over a year ago, I had hoped that this phased redeployment could begin by the end of 2006. Such a timetable may now need to begin in 2007, but begin it must. For only through this phased redeployment can we send a clear message to the Iraqi factions that the U.S. is not going to hold together this country indefinitely – that it will be up to them to form a viable government that can effectively run and secure Iraq.

Us poor folk that live out here in the sticks of Western Illinois really do wish that the folks in Chicago would get a clue. Alas it is hopeless. The Republican party in IL is leaderless and spineless they have no hope for a future, they are awash in corruptions, thanks Misters Ryan. Somehow the people here elected a file clerk to take over for the Parkenson's patient. Yada, yada, yada, I hate living in IL, but then again Iowa ain't much better. - Lorica

Bishop is incorrect. Obama opposed setting a timetable to withdraw troops and voted FOR reauthorization of the Patriot Act.

Profiles In A Democrat Phenomenon - Obama To The Rescue

Ask Democrats what he has accomplished however and you are sure to get nothing more than a bunch of regurgitated platitudinous garbage that has literally been handed from the mouths of the DNC and the media.

Before they carve his head on Mt. Rushmore perhaps the media will consider Mr. Mainstream Rock Star's Illinois legislative voting record.....

-Sponsored a pointless and burdensome unfunded mandate requiring local police departments to racially profile every traffic stop.

-Voted No on Constitutional amendment banning so-called "same-sex" marriage

-Supported including "sexual orientation" in Illinois anti-discrimination laws

-Opposes gun rights (NRA rating-F; Illinois Citizens for Handgun Control Rating-A)

-Voted Against prohibiting early release for criminal sexual abusers
