Democrat Rep. Jim Black, former Speaker of the NC House, resigns from legislature – will plead guilty to federal corruption charge

Good riddance.

Don Suber notes an interesting tidbit about that article – namely, how they didn’t get around to mentioning Black was a Dem until wayyyy down into the piece. Surprise surprise.

We’ve got some big time Corruptocrats in this state. It’s good to finally see the big one admit his guilt. Of course, as Jon Ham notes here, some people here in my fine state are sad to see former speaker Black go. Jeff Taylor explains in detail here just what kind of man Black is, which should make clear that anyone who would miss Black’s ‘leadership skills’ is simply delusional

    Who is next?

Haven’t heard much from Mr. Frozen Hard Bribe Money in awhile?

Anyone know know the status of that investigation?

Do you know what is the most pathetic thing? The people of his district knew all about his dishonesty and still voted him in. Even more pathetic, if he wouldn’t get any jail time (I’m betting he will), he would probably win his seat again. Sad. Very sad.
