What he (Gore) doesn’t tell you is that almost 500 scientists from around the world signed the Heidleburg Appeal in 1992 just prior to the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, expressing their doubts and begging the delegates not to bind the world to any dire treaties based on global warming. Today that figure has grown to over 4000.

He also doesn’t tell you that recently a Gallup Poll of eminent North American climatologists showed that 83 percent of them debunked the global warming theory.

Eighty-three percent. How could that be, after all the pronouncements from the noted scientists Leonardo DiCaprio, Barbra Streisand, and Albert Arnold Gore, Jr. about how GW is a sure-fire thing???

A little older essay by Richard S. Lindzen, the Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Meteorology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has this to say:

a recent Gallup poll of climate scientists in the American Meteorological Society and in the American Geophysical Union shows that a vast majority doubts that there has been any identifiable man-caused warming to date (49 percent asserted no, 33 percent did not know, 18 percent thought some has occurred; however, among those actively involved in research and publishing frequently in peer-reviewed research journals, none believes that any man-caused global warming has been identified so far).

Hmmm…I seem to recall someone around these parts using the term ‘peer-review’ as if it were holy writ.

I also took a shot at going to gocarbon.org which is a front for Conservation Fund, a land buying conservation group. Now I have no problems with land buying organizations as I support several myself. If this is a carbon offset, yahoo, I am buying a bus and touring the country carbon free. The rest of you suckers need to reduce your footprint because, I am, well, too important to actually conserve myself (just ask me) and I can do this with clear conscience as I buy offsets. Eat my polution.

GW fanatics keep insisting that anyone who disagrees with their “findings” simply MUST be in the pocket of Big Oil.

Enter Al Gore, cheerleader for the GW crowd. Al Gore is chairman of Generation Investment Management, a London based investment firm which has been set up to tap growing demand for an investment style that blends traditional equity research with a focus on other factors such as social and environmental responsibility and corporate governance. Hmmm.

Al is quoted on the website saying “Integrating issues such as climate change into investment analysis is simply common sense”.

David Blood, the managing partner with Gore (yes, yes, “Blood & Gore, how appropriate) had a quite telling article published here.

Simply put, Gore is an agitprop for his own investment company which makes its money on….. GW!
