More of the same. In April of 1985, John Kerry was joined by Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) for a visit with Daniel Ortega in Managua, Nicaragua. Of this trip John Kerry said "Senator Harkin and I are going to Nicaragua as Vietnam-era veterans who are alarmed that the Reagan administration is repeating the mistakes we made in Vietnam." The mistake was his it turned out, for shortly after Ortega went to the Moscow and announced an alliance with the Soviets.

Delusional Dean Plans Takeover

Acting President Howard Dean reveals he's been sneaking around meeting with world leaders, though he's not naming names.

John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, and Howard Dean. They are all wannabe presidents. It sounds to me, like they are all somewhat guilty, if not completely guilty of treason.

What I don't understand is how Democrats can't see how divisive this kind of activity is. Additionally his words carry ZERO weight as he is not a representative of any administration policy.

And this surprises anyone how???

Dean is only following in the Democrat tradition - party before country.

IIRC, this pattern started with John Kerry back in the 70s, crashing the Paris peace talks and claiming he held talks with "both sides" - by which he meant the North Vietnamese and the Viet Cong. Not a word with the anti-communist side.

So the Dems' foreign policy tendencies are thoroughly predictable:

(1) Embrace America's enemies
(2) Undermine America's friends
(3) Subvert America's own policies*
*unless a Dem is in the White House. Then, only items 1 and 2 are in effect.

It's one thing for members of an opposition party to meet with world leaders for the purposes of exchanging ideas, and so forth.

It's another thing for a political hack who holds no elective or appointed office to meet with world leaders for the purpose of undermining the administration that is in power.

What is truly infuriating is to realize what a long sordid tradition this has been for the Democrats.

It's becoming increasingly clear that in the 1980's Ted Kennedy made multiple overtures to the Soviets seeking to undermine President Reagan, and seek help for his own presidential ambitions.

The more I read about this, the more I think Kennedy should be investigated for treason.
