If my understanding of the 25th Amendment is right, and if the writers at “24″ are actually following it, Daniels can regain control of the Presidency if he and the majority of the Cabinet again transmit (in writing) to the Constitutional leaders of Congress that they feel that Palmer has a disqualifying disability (that has to happen within 4 days). At that point, Palmer can do nothing but wait for the Congresscritters to get their fingers out of their hindquarters and vote on that (that vote has to happen within 21 days if they’re already in session, or within 21 days after Congress is required to assemble if they aren’t), with Daniels successfully pulling off the coup if 2/3rds of both Houses agree (Palmer would still titularily remain President; he just wouldn’t be authorized to exercise the powers).

Of course, we’ve had three of these 25th Amendment implementations, and I have yet to see anything go to the Speaker of the House or Senate President Pro Tempore in writing.

And we’re at the Congresscritter step, with an extra-Constitutional stop at SCOTUS scheduled for tonight.

You do realize that, if this were a real ‘Rat administration, that Lennox would be visiting Fort Marcy Park right about now.

  4. steveegg says:

Lennox pulled off his blackmail of Daniels.

  5. OMG – Palmer’s gonna launch that strike!

Typical ‘Rat; acting out of perceived weakness.

Durkadurkastan has less than 30 minutes left.

I love this show, but does anybody else find it getting a bit “silly” this season.

The Pres. risks dying to be brought out of a coma only to go ahead with the same nuke strike he first cancelled?

The Russian hacks his arm off with a rusty hatchet to get rid of the tracking device?

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still watch every week, but it just seems like they took a vacation from the writing of the last few seasons.

    Is it me?

Story on Fox News Detroit where 2 men are using fry grease from fast food places – they take it, strain it through women stockings, heat it up and filter it a bit more, then they use it in a Deisel Engine car for gasoline.

The diesel engine can be fed with vegetable oils and would help considerably in the development of agriculture of the countries which use it.

The use of vegetable oils for engine fuels may seem insignificant today. But such oils may become in course of time as important as petroleum and the coal tar products of the present time.

But sanity – after the nanny-state liberals outlaw fried fast food, we’ll just have to go back to fossil fuels. :d

    Leave my fries alone dammit.

    I need my salt intake…
