You know, I have just been sitting here thinking about our present congressional representation. Is it me or for the last few congresses, these guys have done everything in a lazy, hap-hazard manner. Congress has short cutted almost every issue before them, look at immigration, the War on Terror, the Budget or the lack there of in these Fiscal Year’s case, almost any issue, these buffoons are making laws off of the top of their heads. Are any of them studying, or trying to educate themselves on anything?? I think not. – Lorica

    Ladies and gents,

I will be having a minor procedure on my leg tomorrow to remove something that has been causing me pain when I walk. Hopefully this will help my running and will allow me to get back to my police dept. soon. I should be home tomorrow night, but I’m not sure.

    Wish me luck!!

  3. Severian says:

Good luck NC Cop! Hope the procedure is successful!

    Likewise, NC Cop!

I am not buried under, ST. Grades were turned in yesterday, and I will wait a few days before renewing my summer job hunt. Some time with the wife and son units.

  5. Well, my summer school class just started so my short break is over. I just hope my books arrived today or I’ll be buried in reading tomorrow. As much as I like the 6 week length of a class, having to cram 16 weeks into six can burn you out faster than a college kid blows through a 6 pack of cheap beer… <:-p

  6. NC gambatte neh! (loosely translated means – Do your best/Fight the good fight!)

Say that thing attached to your leg isn’t another young lady trying to make you take her with you is it? My kids used to do that when I’d head out to the coffee shop, annoying aint it! They musta thought I said ice cream shop!

I’ve wondered how you been making out with those (pun unintended) but I didn’t want to pry. I’m still not prying but I want to, heh heh heh \:d/. Fi NC.

GWR: How was your flight from Dozoland?

LOL!!!! No it’s not, but thanks for the compliment!!

The doctors think it’s a neuroma (sp?) which is basically a bundle of nerves at the end of my leg have knotted up. It feels like a pebble under my skin. When I hit it just right between my shin bone and the prosthetic….OUCH!!!!!!!!!! It’s kept me from running a time or two.

Don’t worry about asking questions, I’m glad to answer any questions people have about the prosthetics. I’ve been doing pretty good with the ones I have now, they’re my second set. They are much lighter and easier to move around in.

I’ve asked for some bionic legs, but the doc said they don’t really exist yet, CAN YOU IMAGINE?!?! ;)

  8. Good luck tomorrow, NC! Keep us updated on how things go. You know we’re all rootin’ for ya :)

  9. Great White Rat says:

Yeah, NC…what Sis said! Keep us posted!!:)

Forest….good flight home, thanks. Smooth all the way until we had to swerve around some storms near Albany, but by then you’re less than an hour out. Managed to burn some FF miles for an upgrade. You haven’t flown till you go business class on an transoceanic flight. :)

  11. GWR: I’m jealous. Almost makes me want to go east…………….almost.

CNN follows AP’s lead, then gets worse

Well, this shouldn’t surprise anyone. Remember about 10 days ago, I added this comment/rant about the tone of an AP report on the Christian-Newsom murders and the MSM’s reluctance to carry the story?

Now, CNN is finally covering it. Is the focus on the horrific nature of the crime? On the progress of the investigation? Even, as in the AP article, about the contributions of the blogosphere? Nope.

It’s all about how this is just hysteria whipped up by white supremacists, nazis, and other ‘extremists’. The AP story made the same implications; the CNN report is almost entirely based on them. Forget about the savage, brutal way the lives of these young people were snuffed out. Emphasizing that wouldn’t fit CNN’s agenda. Not one bit.

You can see the stomach-turning video here on Hot Air. Make sure you have a barf bag close by.

Forest, if you do, the drinks are on me. :)

  14. Ahhhhhhhh I see now, the evil bloggers caused it GWR……a few more minutes and it would’ve been Bush and Rove’s fault.

No hate crime here boss! We loved’em……………..to death! (sarc/off)

Imbecile Reverend couldn’t even remember his lines, even after KC’s rephrase (-allow me to lead the witness-) to get out the wingnut talking points. Jerks…….. the lot!
