The LAT’s abortion lobby hitpiece on Fred Thompson: The editors have some ‘splainin’ to do

The story, essentially, is falling apart – and some of the ‘facts’ are disappearing from it without any notices of corrections. Jim Geraghty has the details.

Rick Moran writes more on the “big three” hit pieces put out on Fred in advance of the official announcement of his candidacy, which I’m sure will be coming very soon.

Boy!…… first liar aint got a chance in Sharpton’s club! It’s alllllllll about a moooovmunt, truth be damned!!!

  2. This story is just the first of many lies that will be told about Thompson. Just wait for when the Clinton machine cranks up, because then it’s going to get real dirty. Right now they’re plotting their attack on Obama, but once they’re doing with him they’ll go after Thompson.

    Here are some predictions:

    (1) Whoever wins the GOP Presidential nomination will replace George W. Bush as the MSM’s most hated man in America. If you though that the MSM and their Democrat pets ran a filthy campaign in 2006, just wait until next year.

    (2) If Thompson wins the White House (or if any other Republican wins, for that matter), you can expect Bush #43 to be “rehabilitated” in order to attack the new President. This is an old MSM trick. While he was in the Oval Office Reagan was always compared to Nixon, and the MSM of the day always made sure to suggest that Reagan was worse than Nixon. Then when Bush #41 became President, the MSM propped up Reagan in order to slam Bush. When Bush #43 won, both Reagan and Bush #41 were transformed by the MSM into liberal superheroes to slime Bush #43. You can bet your bottom dollar that a similar “rehabilitation” of Bush #43 will take place the next time the GOP wins the White House.

Old dogs rarely do new tricks. Let us remember that it was the L.A. Times who routinely crapped all over Ahnold when he first ran for governor in 2003. That they’re doing the same to Fred should shock no one. l-)

LA times? Facts? In the same sentence? That should have been the first clue something was wrong.
