Environmental wackos take bats and knives to neighbor’s Hummer SUV

On a narrow, leafy street in Northwest Washington, where Prius hybrid cars and Volvos are the norm, one man bought a flashy gray Hummer that was too massive to fit in his garage.
So he parked the seven-foot-tall behemoth on the street in front of his house and smiled politely when his eco-friendly neighbors looked on in disapproval at his “dream car.”
It lasted five days on the street before two masked men took a bat to every window, a knife to each 38-inch tire and scratched into the body: “FOR THE ENVIRON.”
“The thought of somebody vandalizing it never crossed my mind,” said Gareth Groves, 32, who lives with his mother in a three-story home in the 4300 block of Brandywine Street NW in American University Park. “I’ve kind of been in shock.”
Now, as Groves ponders what to do with the remains of his $38,000 SUV, he has been the target of a number of people who have driven by the crime scene in his upscale neighborhood and glared at him in smug satisfaction.
“I’d say one in five people who come by have that ‘you-got-what-you-deserve’ look,” said his friend Andy Sexton, 27, who is visiting from Arkansas and has been helping Groves deal with fallout from the crime.

Not to throw around the word “terrorism” lightly, but this is, basically, what it is: violence in order to further a political agenda. Someone in the article used the word “hate-crime”. Well, in a normal world where all things are equal, it would be. I mean, if they had done this to his truck and wrote some kind of racial or gay slur on it, then liberals everywhere would be howling for justice, no matter what kind of vehicle it was. But since it was an attack on an SUV, and not some minority, and because it was an attack for the environment, then that’s perfectly ok. Don’t forget the fact that to liberals hate-crimes can only be against minorities like gays or blacks, not against anyone else. And it certainly can’t be against any of their pet causes, either. Even though hate was clearly at play here, it is a non-factor to them, because it is something that they, at their core, believe in.

This really shouldn’t surprise anyone. Increasingly, leftists have been employing violence as a political tactic. These two punks are dime-store knock-offs of the Unibomber – who, as I recall, was another Gore follower.
They are not “wackos”, ST – they are insurgents, and as such are worth of MSM worship.

I am not a violent type myself in any way, but if anyone invades my personal property in a violent way or is in the process of destroying my personal property they will see close-up and personal what a 40.cal Speer Gold Dot looks like heading for the bridge of their nose.
There won’t be any peace talks, negotiations, deliberations or all-night sleep-over fillerbusters. And I won’t wait for UN permission.
And there will be no apologies.
I have motion detectors that alert me when a squirrel enters the driveway, and takes pictures too. As far as using deadly force protecting your property parked on a public street, you could go to jail, and the perp’s family could sue you. However, if you caught them in the act, and they raised the bats at you, it’s self defense.
For quite some time, the use of violence and intimidation to make political “statements” has been tolerated and even encouraged in many universities. It was totally predictable that this trend would spread to the wider society and that the levels of violence would increase.
Someone doesn’t like your choice in cars so they vandalize your car? Well, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. This gentleman should return the favor and go vandalize a few prius. To be fair, he should only do similar dollar value damage, but spread it out over a few cars.
Actually, I don’t condone this behavior at all, but using liberal thinking the above paragraph would be the way to solve the problem. It seems the libs, enviros and greenpeace are always destroying things that they decide they don’t like. But they have no problem with all the excesses of thier liberal leaders in congress.
I am sorry that his neighbors haven’t banded together and helped the guy get his ride back into shape, and pooled their resources in trying to catch the criminals.
I may not live in the best part of the best town in CA, but when some idiots stole my wife’s wallet from the front seat of her car, in our driveway, even our less… er… trustworthy neighbors tried to help out. And the folks at the neighboring 7-11s were unbelievably helpful.
I can’t be surprised that there are at least 2 a** holes out there who would do such a thing, but the lack of response of the neighbors is saddening.

I hope this guy gets his Hummer fixed and then at 3 in the morning runs a few of those Prius’ over with it. The funny thing is this is nothing more than Gestapo tactics, and they want to think that we are the Nazis. How pathetic, shooting these two is to good for them. Instead of enviromental burners who burn up housing developments cuz they endangere ants these idiots are destroying cars — whats next — freaks randomly roaming the streets and whacking every car they think doesn’t fit algores pipe dreams — God, glad we have a security camers so at least we can get it on tape.
My x-used to work at a bank and they upgraded their security cameras and I got the old one installed and ready to go.
