Good for the Govenor, and yes Lorica, whats next, what about, test tube babies for ransvestites who have their plumbing completely reversed on the govenrment’s dime so they can carry a baby.

You underestimate people. If it was free to them to begin with, they won’t think twice about it.

Look at how Katrina victims treated those trailers they were given. They trashed them. Why? Well, they didn’t pay for them, so why should they take care of them?

It’s kind of the same thing here: they’d go get the treatment done and, if for some reason the relationship went south, they wouldn’t think twice about aborting it. Because they didn’t pay the $20k to have it done, they’re not out anything, so they could care less. And after all, they can always meet a new partner and have it done again.

I’m just saying, you just know that sooner or later, it will happen.

I am not saying that the Governor did the wrong thing, the people of Rhode Island can decide that, but it is highly unlikely that someone would use their insurance to get fertility treatments and then get an abortion, whatever their domestic situation might be.

That was my point, that Dems don’t stop and think about stuff like that, whereas we do. And you’re right…the governor was 100% correct to veto this. But mark my words, it won’t be the last we hear of it.
