Dr. B: That's- huh!, pfft, huh! and pfft, respectively.

Then you'll have to redefine marriage for the remaining 90% suffering from mental and moral starvation.

None of this should come as too much of a surprise since society has pretty well abandoned the Judeo-Christian morality that directed it for many generations. Instead, today's young people have been relentlessly told, "If it feels good, do it," and they have decided that sex feels good so they want to do it - no surprise about that.

Some of the "reasons" given are awfully close to being the same thing, and to consider them as distinct seems to be a bit of a stretch. This is, however, only a minor quibble.

This is only one of many questions that need to be asked and understood, however. Some of the others include: (1) How does sex relate to marriage, as these young people see it? (2) How do they see sex in relation to intimacy? (3) How do they relate their sexual activity to procreation? (4) To what extent have they thought philosophically about their sexual activity versus simply doing it like a new sporting activity? The list goes on and on, but the shallowness of the "reasons" suggest the importance of asking these other questions.
