Blackwater rescues Polish ambassador

I’d make sure every member of the Congress who is “investigating” Blackwater got a copy of this.

Which brings up another question. How do you investigate the actions of men and women in a combat zone when you are thousands of miles away in a secure, air conditioned office? Perhaps Waxman should spend two or three months over in Iraq with Blackwater?

Yeah, I’ll hold my breath for that one.

Despite a bomb attack that injured their ambassador to Iraq, Poland’s commitment to defeating terrorism is not faltering.

Carter gets into shouting match after scuffle

KABKABIYA, Sudan — Former President Carter got in a shouting match Wednesday with Sudanese security services who blocked him from a town in Darfur where he was trying to meet with refugees from the ongoing conflict.

“We’re going to anyway!” an angry Carter retorted as a crowd began to gather. “You don’t have the power to stop me.”

FNC Shows Democrats Criticizing Troops: ‘Who Said That? Not Rush Limbaugh!’

FNC’s John Gibson opened Tuesday’s The Big Story by looking at the “gall” of liberal Democrats condemning Rush Limbaugh for supposedly insulting as “phony soldiers” Iraq war veterans who oppose the war.

Gibson played soundbites, critical of troop performance, from Senator Harry Reid, Senator John Kerry, Congressman John Murtha and Senator Dick Durbin.

Gibson explained after the four videos aired: “None of those things were uttered by Rush Limbaugh. I mean, in a way you wonder where do they get the, I don’t know, gall to be going after him over this?”

The four soundbites in the posted video:

Senator Harry Reid: “That this war is lost, and that the surge is not accomplishing anything.”

John Kerry: “If you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”

Congressman John Murtha: “Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood.”

Senator Dick Durbin: “If I read this to you and didn’t tell you it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have happened by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags or some mad regime, Pol Pot or others that had no concern for human beings.”

All I can say when I read this was, ABOUT TIME!

I was wondering if anyone was ever going to throw these words and statements they make back at them, and call them on thier blatant hypocrisy that they suddenly care aboutthe troops. They haven’t shown it before, in fact, they have shown obvious contempt for the troops. No one should be fooled into believing that they suddenly care what is said about the troops, whether real or fabricated.

Bravo FNC, you just went up another notch in respect, doing what others are unwilling to do – showing the hypocrisy of those fools.

Schools must warn of Gore climate film bias

Schools will have to issue a warning before they show pupils Al Gore’s controversial film about global warming, a judge indicated yesterday.

The move follows a High Court action by a father who accused the Government of ‘brainwashing’ children with propaganda by showing it in the classroom.

Stewart Dimmock said the former U.S. Vice-President’s documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, is unfit for schools because it is politically biased and contains serious scientific inaccuracies and ‘sentimental mush’.

The outcome marks a partial victory for Mr Dimmock, who had accused the ‘New Labour

Thought Police’ of indoctrinating youngsters by handing out thousands of Climate Change Packs to schools.

Mr Dimmock, a lorry driver from Dover with children aged 11 and 14, said at the outset of the hearing: ‘I wish my children to have the best education possible, free from bias and political spin, and Mr Gore’s film falls far short of the standard required.’

I was not surprised to see this: ‘The debate over the science of climate change is well and truly over.’

Unfortunately this is in the UK, not the US.

It is sad that a UK father is more concerned for his kids and what he sees as brainwashing in the schools, than US citizens, mother and fathers, are for thier kids.

Flag of Mexico Flown Illegally Over Reno Business

This afternoon we received a call from a viewer who said a business near downtown Reno was flying a Mexican flag above an American flag… which is in fact illegal.

This, after photos and comments about the flag were posted on Craigslist this morning. When we were able to have a photographer go and check everything out we found the story to be true.

It also didn t take long before the situation provoked a strong reaction

A Veteran tore down the Mexican flag as it hung over the U.S. flag at a local business with his knife.

Good for him. Too bad so many think there is nothing wrong with another countries flag flying over ours – that the US flag, is nothing more than a piece of cloth.
