What is the first thing you think of when you see something like this?

First thing I thought was, he is having his mommy defend him and go on the attack for him?

What is it with the candidates and thier wives and now thier mommies seemingly doing more talking than the candidates themselves?

I am sorry, but spouses and moms are not running for president, why do I want to hear from them attacking other candidates?

Whats next, is edwards wife gonna speak sternly to Iran’s president, or McCains mommy gonna lay the smack down on Iran’s president?

This is downright pathetic on both sides of the isle.

Iraqi Woman Given Gift of Mobility Thanks to U.S. Soldiers

After an insurgent rocket hit her home three years ago, Soham Hassan Ka-Naan spent her days dragging her body across the cement floors of her family’s house or being lifted and pushed in a wheelchair. Her left leg was amputated below her knee and her right leg amputated near her hip.

Soldiers from Troop A, 3rd Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, discovered Soham while conducting a raid in Al Arabia, and decided they had to help. They took her to the fortified Green Zone for medical treatment and have been advocates for her care over the months and years.

I’m sure you know how this kind of story hits home for me. Once again, our troops have proven to be the best our nation has to offer. Thank you!!

South Texas man busted after reporting pot theft

McALLEN, Texas — A man was arrested for drug possession after telling authorities that two masked gunmen had stolen 150 pounds of marijuana from his home.

Hidalgo County sheriff’s deputies arrived at the home near Penitas in South Texas to find the door kicked in and nearly 15 pounds of pot lying on the floor, Sheriff Lupe Trevino said.

Jose Guadalupe Flores, 35, escaped while the men ransacked the house but returned later and told the deputies he had been wrapping the drugs for shipment when the intruders arrived.

“The guy walked right up and said the drugs were his,” Trevino said. “That’s not the smartest move.”

Flores, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, was charged with felony possession of marijuana at an arraignment hearing Monday. Because of his immigration status, Flores will be jailed until his case is heard.

Authorities were still searching for the gunmen.

Doing the jobs normal Americans will not do…….

House Appropriations Committee Chairman David Obey thinks the troop surge and the accompanying counterinsurgency operations in Iraq have had little to do with the decline in violence. The Wisconsin Democrat took a question during an appearance at the National Press Club about whether the surge was working — and said the issue has never been military — but political — in getting Iraqis to work together.

And he added —”One of the reasons that we’ve had incidents of sectarian violence go down is because they are running out of people to kill. They’ve killed so many in so many areas, that there are fewer opportunity targets, if you want to put it that way, for each side.”

Perhaps one of the most idiotic things I’ve ever heard from our Congress. There’s over 35 million people in Iraq, but apparently to this moron he must think there are only a few thousand people left in the entire country.

Can people really be this stupid? Perhaps it’s just because there is too much good news coming out of Iraq, the dems had to do something.
