“I was against it from the start”

Well, you see, it all depends on what the meaning of the word “against” is. Or “start”. And he didn’t tell you exactly what “it” is.

Really, this is more triangulation. My thinking is that Hillary’s playing to the political center with an eye on the general election, which would be fine if she were the only candidate, or were so far ahead in the polls she had no serious opposition – say, if her only opposition was someone like Dennis Kucinich.

Her problem is that Obama and even Silky Pony are gaining on her. She can’t tack left yet again to reassure the hardcore moonbat fringe, because lately she’s been beaten up a lot over flip-flops, and she doesn’t need THAT chorus reprised. So she sends Bill out to calm the tinfoil hats, figuring any good feelings he generates among them will be transferred to her.

Not a bad strategy, if the voters are tranquilized enough that their brains are dormant – which they will, these being Democrat primaries and caucuses. She comes off as the sane one compared to the rest of the field, while Slick Willie keeps the Code Pinko types from coalescing around any opponent. And she can always disavow anything he says as being his opinion and not hers, if the political weather gets too rough.

Oh, that’s priceless. I almost said that with a straight face!!!

The funny thing is that he still thinks voters are going to pick up the tab.
