Glenn Reynolds posts that you can’t actually impeach a member of Congress. Even so, it is amusing to see the woman formerly known as the left’s favorite “military mom” give it a try.
Perhaps this is another reason she wants Pelosi impeached? LOL …

Since each House of Congress is the judge of its own members, it ought to be easier to get Mrs Pelosi expelled than it would be to impeach her, were that possible.
Good luck with that, Mrs Sheehan!
Of course, the lovely Mrs Sheehan is running against Speakess Pelosi because Mrs Pelosi won’t move forward with the impeachment of the President.
But if by some chance Mrs Sheehan won, she’d be taking her seat in Congress on January 3, 2009 — a whopping seventeen days before President Bush’s term ends. One wonders if she thinks she could get an impeachment done in that length of time.
So since it has proven politically impossible for all but the most unhinged and marginalized Dems to push impeachment (go, Dennis, go!), Sheehan wants to use this ineffective stick against Pelosi? Okay, not the brightest bulb on the string, but we already knew that.
I really, really hope she gets some traction in her bid to unseat Pelosi. No real expectation of success, but it’d be fun to watch the Speaker twitch and sweat. Best of all, as Hillary keeps proving, when you pressure a pol, you increase the chances of a truely candid moment. Those are always entertaining, especially from lefties who rely on carefully scripting and manageing their public persona in order to retain any appeal.
Of the 2, I’d rather have Pelosi in the House. Could you see Sheehan doing sit ins and protests because she didn’t get her way or be in power?
Wasn’t Mrs. Sheehan supposed to have umimpeachable moral authority? What happened to it?

#4 PCD, yes I can, and that’s why I’d like to see her win the seat. She might be the only person in the US who can make the Dems look more idiotic and childish than they already do.
