Congress approves war funding for Iraq, Afghanistan (MORE: DEMOCRAT REP. MORAN ACCUSES TROOPS OF “ETHNICALLY CLEANSING” BAGHDAD)

Posted by: ST on December 19, 2007 at 6:13 pm

Bush the “lame duck” President scores another big victory against the truly lame Democratic Congress, in spite of the frosty relationship that exists between him and Democrat “leaders” in the House and Senate. Way to go, Mr. Prez :)

Stand by for the Nutroots‘ apoplexy to commence.

Meanwhile, since the mediots are running out of reasons to write negative news stories about the Iraq war, they’ve taken to a new spin. Check out the following headlines:

WaPo: All Iraqi Groups Blame U.S. Invasion for Discord, Study Shows
USA Today: Strategy that is making Iraq safer was snubbed for years

Predictability, thy name is “MSM” …

Update 1: Check out what Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA) had to say about our troops today during the debate over the war funding bill (h/t: Captain Ed):

“Sure, there’s less violence, but that’s because we’ve ethnically cleansed most of Baghdad.”

Here’s the video.

Disgusting. But I’m sure he’d claim in a heartbeat that he “supports the troops.” Jerk.

A few other instances of Democrats “supporting the troops”:

Update 2: Van Helsing blogs about how the media has been responding to the surge’s success … with phoney negative stories.

ST, when will they ever learn? Never!

Truly amazing. Just when I think they can’t say anything more ignorant and repugnant….they prove me wrong.

  3. “against the truly lame Democratic Congress.”

    That they are!

Thanks for the out of context quotes.

Thanks for the in-context quotes, ST! Watch Democrats appeal to the lowest and filthiest instincts of the Nutroots with wacko statements like these (in order to rake in all that lovely hate cash) and then try to cover up by lying about it afterwards.

You could also add Senator Murray’s hero-worship of Osama bin Laden to the list.

It is time – long past time, actually – to question the patriotism of the Left. Considering how the MSM and their Democrat pets have demonized and dehumanized Bush and war supporters, it is only right and fair that they be held responsible for their actions.

    From MD’S link:

“This was not a dossier of the great works of Osama bin Laden. This is about how do we secure a better and stronger future for this country?,” Webster said. “Do we close our doors and hunker down, or do we engage the rest of the world?”

Is gutting the funding to build the fence what Webster means by closing our doors?

Is going after and engaging the enemies of NOT ONLY the USA but free peoples and democracies PLANET WIDE what he means by hunkering down?

Murray’s spokesman, Todd Webster, called the senator a victim of a right-wing media machine.

“This is being turned into a circus by the right-wing media outlets and fed by right-wing haters,” Webster said.

Asked if he included Vance in that category, Webster said, “Absolutely. I include Vance and the right-wing media and the right-wing establishment.”

Cry me a river Webster. She is a victim! aaaaaa victim! squawk! victim! awk! He seems to be more aware of the leftard narrative than facts in the current universe, engaging in the standard poor me/her, as though that whining din should pass for some kind of convincing half ass rebuttal for the dumb ass things she thinks and then spits out for all the honest world to hear.

The ignorant pair of dhimmicrat circus clowns can’t even connect the dots on how the poppy industry’s drug money is where much if not all of the financing for the schools comes from!

I would really like to know how you can take the above quote out of context. It pretty much speaks for itself. – Lorica

  8. Steve Skubinna says:

“Ethnic cleansing” is generally accepted as a euphemism for genocide. I realize that regulars here are aware of that, but what the hell context can anyone supply to make Moran’s slander tolerable? Moran is a despicable ass, and so are his defenders.

  9. PCD says:

His name is Moran, it is MORON!
