Back in ’96 in the Gulf we had a helo carrying eight SEALs crash while returning to USS Essex. The aircrewman and the SEALs made it out, but an observer, who was black, and the two pilots did not. One of the professional racial grievance mongers aboard made much of the fact that the black guy died and suggested that it was probably because he was given substandard safety equipment.

I said it was good that The Conspiracy nailed another brother, and only for the negligable cost of one helicopter and two pilots. What a bargain! He had the grace at least to look embarrassed, as though he realized the stupidity of what he was saying. I expect McKinney to go her entire life without experiencing such a revelation.

Come home? Since few of us had ever considered the Green Party their home, this slogan is curious more than somewhat.

No, I do not believe a Green Party ticket, especially one led by Ms. McKinney, will throw so much as a ball bearing into the Democratic chances, let along a wrench. She is, however, quite likely to pick up some of the votes of those who believe the Jews who worked at the WTC were told to stay home on 9-11 (as well as a few from those who feel they’ve been abducted by ET’s but returned to civilization thereafter). She’s very welcome to them.

Ron Paul will receive the votes of those who normally cast their votes for Ayn Rand. Or, to put it another way, the Internet is the Internet and the Real World Is the Real World–and never the twain shall meet.
