Obama says he wants to give the common folk more “access” to the process. Only a man with an Olympian’s sense of entitlement to mass worship could describe such a choreographed descent upon a place called “Mile High” as an effort to bond with the common man. A demigod, it seems, is never so tall as when he stoops to bask in the adoration of the little people.

Soooo Much like Charleton Heston in the movie “The 10 Commandments”, BO too can deliver the very words of God from on High, at Mile High stadium. Such presumption, is everything this guy does staged or is it just me. – Lorica

ST, I’m glad it’s not a kidney stone. Having had two of them, I can confirm that they’re excruciating. Stay on those meds and definitely get to the primary care doctor ASAP!

And don’t worry about the house here if you need some time away. We promise not to destroy the site too much. Unless Steve lets Sneery in the front door, that is. Then we can’t promise anything….

I had a kidney stone back in 2004. It was the second worst pain I ever had – the worst was after the (first) operation to break it up. Trying to pee was like having a knife stuck in my side and slid forward – I didn’t know if I was going to puke or pass out, and was afraid I’d end up doing both.

Which is, I’m sure, a very cheery anecdote to bring up at this point. Perhaps I ought to shut the hell up? Yes, perhaps I ought.

Best wishes, hope the meds keep it manageable, and if your doctor won’t see you first thing Monday morning, you call me and I’ll talk to her. Damn it, I’ll do way more than talk!
