Well, I guess it was only a matter of time:

Pop diva and Kabbalah devotee Madonna drew fire on Sunday from John McCain’s campaign after the queen of pop began a world tour with a concert that grouped an image of the Republican presidential hopeful with one of Adolf Hitler.

Images of destruction and global warming flashed on to a screen during a video interlude at Madonna’s concert in Cardiff, Wales on Saturday night. Those were followed by pictures of Adolf Hitler, Zimbabwe’s authoritarian ruler Robert Mugabe – and McCain

Normally I couldn’t care less what Hollywood and the music industry has to say. If there is one group of people who are clueless as to what goes on in the real world, it’s them. Yet I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw this one.

Yes, Madonna, McCain is Hitler. He’s murdered millions of people and caused unimaginable destruction all over the world.

You should be thanking God every day that you have never, and probably never will, meet or even see a human being as evil and vile as Adolph Hitler.

    From the Politico:

Pelosi to protesters: “Can we drill your brains?”

House Democratic leaders and protesters waving McCain signs had a war of words Tuesday at a press event outside an old train station. The demonstrators interrupted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi with chants of “Drill here! Drill now!”

Pelosi paused and asked the group, “Right here?”

Seeming to enjoy the back and forth, she followed with another question: “Can we drill your brains?”

She went on to refer to the protesters, who continued to chant sporadically, as “handmaidens of Big Oil.” Arguing that increased offshore drilling would reduce gas prices by only a couple of pennies a decade from now, she referred to the demonstrators as the “2-cents-in-10-years-crowd.”

Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer swiped at the demonstrators, too, saying that “sophomoric chanting” won’t solve the energy crisis and that “all thinking Americans know” — stressing the word “thinking” and looking at the crowd — that America doesn’t have a quarter of the word’s fossil fuels yet uses a quarter of the world’s energy.

Since when does an elected official have such disrespect for “We the People”?? These are the people that caused the problem and now when we are left with very few options, they want to make things worse. She is being foolish if she believes that this present crisis is going to translate into votes for Dems this November. She needs to get behind a drilling proposal and fast. Even easing some EPA regulations regarding the repair of oil rigs in the Gulf. – Lorica
