Get in line, Anthony...I think there's a whole country in love with her. Me included. :x

I haven't been this pumped up over a national candidate since Reagan. I think I have just seen America's future, and it's coming from Alaska. **==

Actually, I think she started slow...but once she warmed up...WOW! (I've already heard this called the POW/WOW ticket. It fits.)

Concentrating on the small town America theme was a good idea. That's what will swing states like Ohio, Missouri..maybe even Pennsylvania or Wisconsin.

One thing I noticed - she can deliver a devastating smackdown with a smile. Joe Biden may wind up eviscerated before he knows what's happened. I envy anyone who can deliver snark like that. ^:)^

On energy - this is where she went right to policy ideas. Great move, since no candidate has more background in this than she does. She's established herself as an authority on it early. There will be no treating her as a lightweight.

And you have to adore the youngest daughter, the one with the pixie smile who loves to wave at the camera. That visual will be a huge asset everywhere.

Also...Rudy did what he does best: gets the crowd rocking and fired up. The perfect lead-in to the main event of the evening. Terrific line about how the Obamabots think small towns aren't cosmopolitan or flashy enough...maybe because they still cling to religion there. That might have been the best line of the night.

It'll be interesting to see how the tracking polls move in the next few days.

Just finished watching Palin's speech: one of the best I've seen since Reagan was running. A fantastic effort for anyone, let alone someone making their national debut. I'm in love. :x

And I pity Joe Biden, just like I pity anything about to become roadkill. >:)

What I saw was pretty good. Rudy really went at Obama, and he was funny. I think the "Maybe they cling to religion" line got the biggest laugh outta me.

Sarah also delivered with her speech big time. I expect the reaction will be condemnation from the same hacks that have been laying into her, thus far. Of course, based on her performance, I'd say she can take it and also give it back.

Steve--
I don't know where you lived in 1992, but I lived in California, and people there weren't voting for Perot as a protest. They really wanted him to win. Badly. They were, you might say, energized.

Probably not many, Trish - my take is that Perot represented a protest vote against Bush 41 by those who couldn't stomach Slick Willie.

Many of the Palin-haters are those who tried selling us the scam that being married to the President counted as executive experience.

Or for that matter, the same ones who think running for President is ipso facto proof of capability to be the President. Or that being a community organizer trumps being a mayor and a governor.

Because face it, those communities don't just organize themselves, you know.

I can't believe Juan Williams just brought up Palin's "lack of experience." Both Hannity and Kasich just laid into him.. lol

I wonder how many of the people who are saying Palin isn't qualified voted for Ross Perot in 1992.
