Thanks, General Petraeus

After leading our troops, in concert with coalition forces, to achieve what the naysayers like Senator Barack Obama said would not happen, Gen. David Petraeus yesterday officially turned over command of the US military and its allies in Iraq to Gen. Ray Odierno.

Gen. Petraeus’ next order of business? CENTCOM Commander, where he plans on focusing on Afghanistan and Pakistan. If there’s anyone who can turn around the situation there, it’s certainly him.

And speaking of Petraeus, Vets for Freedom has launched a TV ad titled “General Petraeus vs. Barack Obama” in which it tackles Obama’s defeatist commentary on the surge versus Petraeus’ progress reports on Iraq. Click here to watch.
