Though he could have started earlier, McCain has wisely unleashed a re-energized Palin on Obama's shady background. Yes, some swing voters may get upset by these tactics, but I'd rather someone speak the truth of Obama's disturbing terrorist and Marxist ties than remain silent.

On that note, there are more Black pundits and voters who are openly questioning Obama's platform and character. The latest is Williams Owens II who wrote the excellent book, "Obama: Why Black America Should Have Doubts":

LINK

McCain has three of the biggest opportunities given to him which he is simply not taking advantage of:

1. The root causes of the wall street meltdown as detailed in the Fox Special: " Saving Our Economy: What's Next"

2. The $700 billion going to foreign countries to buy oil, a huge part of which can stay here if drilling is done in Anwar, offshore and the Rockies. Imagine the jobs and wealth that can be created with this, not to mention the huge plus for national security and that 75% of the public supports drilling.

3. Barak Obama's class warfare rhetoric and wanting to tax business more - small and big - when it is they who create the jobs that fuels the economy.

I think Obama's numbers are made of sand.

I agree. The shift represents anger over the mortgage crisis and bailout, and the party with the White House takes the blame. But, now that things are settling down for a moment (and if the Camp McCain exploits this), those numbers may start sliding back our way as the public thinks about what happened. If even Saturday Night Live isn't buying the Pelosi-Frank spin, then there's a huge opening.

GOTV. Plain and simple. The Obots are out in force registering felons, homeless people. If you take a few minutes each day and call ten undecided voters in battleground states, you WILL make a difference. Go to McCain's web site and sign up. You can call from home ... do your part in this election! I've been calling people and telling them about Obama and some didn't even know about him. :o We cannot afford to have BO and a Democrat led Congress destroy the US. GOTV!!!

Obama is trying to deflect the attacks by saying that McCain is trying to distract from the economy. The way to answer that is to inform the voters that this man who wants to be president also pals around with known terrorists, so, do we really want this man in charge of our economy?

Too late? Maybe so, but I think Obama's numbers are made of sand. They shot up only after this banking crisis broke out, and the numbers can be changed just as drastically in McCain's favor. But, yes, it is an uphill battle. Like ST says, the MSM are in the tank for Obama in a big way (just ask the Clintons), and it's hard to overcome that.

The Palin rally was in Carson, about 45 minutes from me. Unfortunately, I had other committments and couldn't go.

I'm glad they're finally starting to smack Obama over his past associations -- Gov. Palin's comments were a good start. Let's hope they open up the hose. I think it will work: the Obama campaign was already in full whine-mode over Sarah's comments. We know they have a thin skin: the trick is to annoy them into a stupid response.

Fingers crossed. :-ss

BTW, I nominate ST to become the McCain campaign field general. The Obamatons will never know what hit them. b-(

Obama was in Asheville today - spending a lot of time in NC. Biden was supposed to be in VA, but his mother in law is dying so he canceled appearances there.

Meanwhile Palin was in CA. Over 10,000 in the crowd there, you won't see it on tv, though.

This is proof the polling is bonkers. Obama thinks he can do what hasn't been done in NC since the 70s. He'd be wrong.

Meanwhile what is JM thinking? He's running for the Bipartisan party, and after the bailout, he's acting like he threw in the towel.

Let's make the ticket Palin/McCain.
