They're willing to report this now because they believe it's too late to change the race. We can expect a wave of this kind of thing the next week.

Not only has he broken that promise, but he has raised who knows how much money illegally, from overseas and anonymous donors, blatantly violating limits on contributions.

And then there's the sterling work by his joined-at-the-hip pals at ACORN in fraudulent registrations, including encouraging non residents to register.

His campaign is absolutely the most corrupt I have seen in my life. It rivals the great Democrat machines of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

But this is supposed to be a new kind of politics. It might seem impossible, but so far Obama has shown he possesses far less integrity than did Bill Clinton. In that regard, he is something new and amazing.

Campbell Brown? Someone watch her back over this one. Maybe there is some journalistic integrity left out there afterall.

Sis, it's not that McCain's arguments are not enough...they won't get the airplay between now and Monday night. I've tossed this debate around with pundits via email anmd phone calls and most everyone I talk to about elections. Elections are not decided by money alone, but money is what gets your message out. Back when the immigration bill was trying to get shoved off on us, I must have gotten a dozen calls for contributions. My response was, "Finish the fence, close the borders and I'll send you a check."

This 2008 campaign has, until the primaries wrapped up, been about getting a conservative on the ticket. Bush became less of one economically and on immigration as each year passed and it became very evident that it was not to be this time around.
The concentration was on Hillary...who could beat her? Once she was tossed under the bus, all bets were off. Obama was a different adversary. He took on the philosophy that in order to beat the opponent, money speaks not only louder than words, it can, indeed, shut your opponent down...hence the "broken promise"...He knew full well that McCain was a man of his word from McCain Feingold...just reach accross the aisle to John, shake his hand with your emty hand's fingers crossed behind your back...Obama's way of saying, "Thanks for the votes suckers:)" Chicago politics has served the junior senator well.

Obama is "the one" to many though he most certainly does not walk on water. His opponents as well as his admirers had better not mind getting splattered with mud as he splashes through the puddles on his way to power. Campaign finance is not fair, nor, unless it is regulated (forgive the word), will it ever be. A billionaire can invest his fortune in his bid for election. A $250,000/year plumbing company owner doesn't stand a chance. Has anyone noticed that Congress looks very much like an aristocracy rather than par of a representative republic? Take a look under the dome. You'll not find the middle class represented there.

Was Obama dishonest in his promise to McCain? Yes. Does it matter to the left-wing? To the vast majority, no. We might do well to remember a certain Arkansas governor who promised not to raise taxes on the middle class. I believe it was 25 days after he took ofice when he appeared on televison and broke the bad news to the middle class; "the numbers just don't add up the same as they did the week before the election *sigh*...you're going to have a tax increase".

I'm sure that former governor has briefed Obama on how to handle that little charade as well. I hope Clinton also shares what he felt like when the Democrats lost the majority in Congress in 1994.

Keep the faith and keep talking...giving up is the most un-American thing any of us can do.
