If you do notice a problem, you’ll be branded as an obstructionist or a racist. And if even the MSM can’t pretend a problem doesn’t exist, they’ll find a way to blame it on Bush.

But buyer’s remorse? No way. The left is so convinced of its own brilliance and superiority that the idea that they may have screwed up will never cross their little minds.

how many Americans will wake-up feeling the same way a man who gets drunk and has a one-night stand feels the following morning after he looks to see who’s sleeping on the other side of the bed? That is to say, will they wonder “What the hell was I thinking?”

Not many. The media helped elect Barack Hussein Obama they will do what they have to in order to cover for him. Just look at Chris Matthews statement of it being his job to help the administration. The media will cover for Obama on everything and most people will never learn of what he truly is because of them. The lunatic fringe will adore Obama no matter what, simply because he’s not a Republican. The medias smoke screen will help conceal his actions to those that are in the center of the political spectrum.

Palin, unfortunately, got a huge chunk of it. The baby rumors stuff was uncalled for. The money thing should have been a one-day story, but it got dragged out ad nausea. (Although I saw it as a waste of money, it really wasn’t that important)

Really, though, I think these attacks by republicans have been way meaner than pre-election attacks. I mean saying that she doesn’t know Africa is a continent? Saying she doesn’t know the countries in NAFTA? I think as a candidate, these stories are much more demeaning.

It’s one thing when your political enemies make up crap (where you can pretty easily fight off), but when your advisers start doing it (with anonymity), that’s just cruel.

Colin Powell, on the other hand… I’m waiting for the sheepish backpedaling on his rehabilitation, now that he’s no longer a house slave. My guess is that the people who trashed him so viciously are going to simply wake up to a new world where Powell has always been a dignified man of integrity. And Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia.

Face it, if they were intellectually and morally consistent they wouldn’t be leftists. Their only bedrock principle is expediency.

More likely, if things are not 1000 percent dramatically better than they are now, night-and-day better (and they won’t be), folks are going to start asking “Where’s my change? Where’s my f***ing change, man? Give me my g*****n f***ing change! You promised us change — now where the hell is it?”

The problem with playing the messiah is that people are going to expect you to actually be one, and when you prove to be the fraud that you are, it is torches and pitchforks time.
