Norm Coleman to be certified as MN Senate winner

but it’s not over yet. Since we’re looking at a difference in votes of around 215, a recount is mandatory.

Make sure to stay tuned to Power Line for all the latest developments on what’s happening with this Senate seat.

A couple of questions: Why the hell would anything close to a majority in any state want an idiot like Al Franken to represent them in the Senate? Or is this just another indicator of an ill-informed electorate?

Oh gawsh — the Al Franken thing baffles me, too. Whats UP with that?? Also, though — Ted Stevens…. doesnt’ speak well for our side either.

  2. Part of the problem in Minnesota (aside from the problems all Republicans are having in a bad year) is that Dean Barkely, a third party candidate, siphoned off a lot of votes, mostly from Coleman, I think.

    Thanks, Dean. :-w

Question: Will the recount include the military absentee votes that never got counted because the US Postal system never delivered the mail from our troops overseas? This is a criminal on part of the Postmasters and the US Gov’t. This is not a Blue or Red issue this is a constitutional right! It’s Voter fraud if our troops on the front lines do not get a voice in this election!! The soldiers, airman, marines and sailors of Minnesota have earned the right to have their votes COUNTED! Shalom.

Yes, there should be a recount. I don’t particularly favor former (or current) comedians in Congress, but everyone should have their day in court. As for Stevens, the fact that he was allowed to continue the election is (IMO) an outrage. Makes me ashamed that our country allows such antics.

Nothing surprising here, this is the state that elected Jessie Ventura as governor. He may not have been a comedian going in, but surely revealed that as he messed up the works big time there.
