Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr (D-2nd District, Illinois) – aka “Senate Candidate #5” claimed in a press conference yesterday that, up until Monday, he had not met with disgraced Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich for four years.
I guess that doesn’t include the time a few months ago when he cried on Blago’s shoulder during the Democrat National Convention …
Seriously, it’s well-documented that Jackson majorly pursued Obama’s Senate seat. Is this a case of the apple not falling far from the tree?

Yeah, I believe him. NOT!!!
As far as the Obama camp, I don’t totally discount the idea that they (as a group) were part of the investigation and in order to not compromise the case further they’ve decided to be quiet about it. But as far as JJjr is concerned…nah, his denial isn’t plausible. That dog won’t hunt.
Depends on what the meaning of “met” is.
