No surprises here. ST logs in to a political forum I log into as well, and lo and behold: last week we found, to our astonished (right word, ST?)eyes that one contributor to the forum thought that the shoe-tossing incident was the finest moment of 2008.

Since Obama has indicated that he does not intend to uphold all parts of the Constitution, the oath of office he takes in January will be a lie, and I cannot respect him as the holder of an office he will not respect himself.
However, I do respect him and all people as human beings. I wouldn’t applaud anyone’s throwing an unprovoked shoe at anyone else.

The shoemaker says he is even preparing a new advertising campaign aimed, for now, at the Turkish market. It will feature the shoe held aloft on a stick, with the words “Bye Bye Bush, Hello Peace,” below it.

I would beg to disagree. I am now of the temperment that I would hope that the shoe plunk Barack right in the face. I would then go find a pair of my shoes and put them on a stick outside my home.
