Early on 24 stopped using Islamists as terrorists and they even made the President an enemy. I stopped watching after the CAIR capitulation.
This new twist is sad, but I am not surprised.

They will try him on war crimes sooner or later.

Jack’s little speech in the back seat could have come from one of the latest Vince Flynn books. It also focuses on the disconnect between our well meaning civil libertarian friends and their inner desire for someone to “feel” the time is right to “do what it takes” to get information. The opening chapters of the Flynn book may be the source material, complete with the Mitch Rapp character choosing to go public about enhanced interrogation techniques (that the Senators privately support but publicly condemn).

Whoa! Slow down! Some story lines require more set up. It’s way too soon to pass judgement. Hey. Try reading Moby Dick. I’m half-way through and still waiting.

I was concerned about his comments in the back seat as well. For now I’ll write it off to idle musings. He wasn’t necessarily expressing remorse over his decisions in the field by doing so.

My only complaint was that it wasn’t Michelle Dessler who was brought back from the dead instead of Tony Almeida. I liked Tony, but Michelle was hot.

I missed most of last night, but saw enough tonight (before I shut off the TV) to see that they seem to be trying their darndest to kill this program.

For the first time since I started watching “24″, I really don’t care if all the planes crash to the ground.

The show goes into hibernation because of a writers strike and returns with bad writers.
