I guess the most amazing thing about Geithner’s situation is the lack of responce (Negative) by members of the Republican Party. Geithner as the President of a major financial institute is well aware about the “Taxes” he did not pay–well-He did make a payment in Nov. which is convenient considering that’s when Obama fingered him as Treasury Sec., the lact of responce by members of the Republican Party suggest to me that they are “Trying to fit in”, do not want to upset Obama, or truly believe they are a defeated Party. If this is the case, then we are in for a long haul–with one “Ruling Class”

I wrote several times during the campaign that elections were about two things: policy and character, each of roughly equal importance. Based on both his policy and character*, I decided that Barack Obama was not fit to be president.

The revelations in Byron York’s article lead me to say something similar about Mr. Geithner.

So now America stands to have:

– a Treasury Secretary who doesn’t pay his taxes,

– a Chairman of the House Ways and Means committee who doesn’t pay his taxes, and

– a Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee who’s up to his ears in shady mortgage dealings.

Yep, change we can believe in, all right.
