I watched much of Senator McCain's speech today and he was great. Another major point that he brought out repeatedly (I blogged about it over at Right Resolve) was the CBO statements that, in the long run, our GDP would actually suffer! Moreover, each one of the 1.3-3.9 million jobs created would cost between $300k and $900k per job! I too am proud and thankful of those Republican Senators who are standing strong.

I honestly have no doubt that the stimulus plan will be passed. Too many people in Washington are afraid of Obama’s popularity. With the economy getting worse the dems know that the Republican senators who oppose this will catch hell, so they will agree to it. Not all of them, but enough.

Perhaps the most defining moment of our time, for our great grandchildren will bear the burden of this debt.

I just didn’t expect it in the Messiah’s first 30 days.

God help us.
